How do you grow up in the south having not played a single down?

Should ESPN do one of those sob stories on you?

I played freshmen year. The coach was a terrible and so was the team. It wasn't even worth fighting for. On the other hand, I grew up playing baseball and in highschool, played on a team that went to two State semifinals and a quarterfinal in one of the hardest districts in Louisiana so

Keep in mind, I'm from Louisiana, baseball in baton rouge is monumentally bigger and more successful than football.

Just curious what drew you to Mississippi State being from Louisiana? Family? Girlfriend? Friends?

I didn't know many people from Louisiana when I was at State a ton from Alabama and Tennesse and a surprising number from southern Missouri.

1) that team wasn't terrible. As soon as my class graduated, it became terrible

2) Thib was a good coach. He was the only coach at Dunham that played the people who were the best (not the ones who had parents that gave $$4)

3) It is worth mentioning that Thib was also the baseball coach.
