We have a good shot at winning the overall SEC. Our Friday and Saturday lineup is solid. Need a Sunday guy to step up and win some games and we will be set

We really need to get Sunday figured out. I think Brown can get there but he really needs to get over that hump and we ran out of time two weeks ago.

We are definitely in the mix, but the SEC is just so damn loaded. USC has surprised me by how well they're playing (still can't beat Clempson though 
)
Florida and LSU have looked worse than I thought they would. Ole Miss has been really good and also not really good. Texas A&M is strong; as is Vandy. Gotta pull for Vandy the rest of the way.

OM doesn't have the quality of weekend arms they've had in the past. For this team to be successful defense has to be solid and timely hitting has to be clutch -- these things they did in the first part of the season, but not last weekend against South Carolina. So until they do those things against a quality opponent, I won't get my hopes up too much.
I think State has the weekend pitching to challenge A&M. It will come down to Sunday productivity for State, IMO. I can't convince myself Alabama is good despite a 5-2 record in league play.

While not getting the sweep sucks.. More disturbing is the lack of a 3rd starter.
Still, a great start to the season, and at least we are scoring runs. After watching how crappy the black bears have been, I wonder if our pitching relaxed a bit too much today.
We have a tough stretch coming up, but then again, there aren't really any gimmee's in SEC baseball.

I am just hoping we can take 1 out of 3 against Florida and win the series against A&M.

True. Hope we can stay hot all year and don't cool off. We've gotta find a third pitcher in a hurry tho - I'm not confident we can win any series if Dakota or Sexton are off. Lord help us if they fall in a slump

Hopefully we use the fact that we saved the bulk of our pen this weekend to shuffle Pilkington into the weekend. At this point I think you have to try and get him a shot on Sunday's.
The problem becomes do you really want to give him that shot @Florida. The last thing we need is for him to get shelled in his first SEC start.
