According to Robbie, Leo said his Bama commit was too soon and he wants to look at all of his options. He could still commit this weekend, but it sounds like he may just wait until signing day.

If we didn't get a single commitment more -- and if all the players' rankings stayed the same so our point total stays at it's current level...

This would have ALREADY been the #25 class last year, #23 in 2013, and #24 in 2012...

All these years Dan has been training his body in the hyperbolic time chamber just so he could go Super Saiyan and finally defeat Freeze-a

Mixon just committed and his 5* DT teammate was at camp today and was apparently pretty impressed. Any chance?

We don't take 5*s out of the state of Alabama...

I'd be interested in knowing the last time a 5* that was being recruited by an Alabama school went somewhere else.

Yesterday was a big day, but my jimmies will be rustled if OM is able to land Fletcher and Leo.. Really, really want those guys in the boat. Not to mention that they will still be trying to flip several other of our recruits until signing day.

Obviously our strong finish last year has led to some of this recruiting momentum, and hopefully a good year this year can give us some going into signing day.

I wouldn't worry about any of that right now. January is going to be one long meltdown regardless. Too much talent pulled too many directions. I'd be more concerned about the OOS guys that are borderline elite without home school offers -- or that have thusfar spurned the home school(McNair) vs the guys who have entire groups of best friends going to MSU that OM doesn't have room to offer.

A million things will change between now and NSD -- but I'd be CJ Johnson-level shocked if we lose Fletcher and Leo is trending MSU in a big way.

If we get Lewis and Adams as expected, at current ratings, that would put us at 236.21 points. That would be #19 in 2014, #17 in 2013, #21 in 2012, #18 in 2011, etc...

With our numbers, none of the other 3* recruits move the needle appreciably. Adding Campbell, Danley, McLaurin, Bates, and Derouen at their current ratings only gets us to 238.31, which doesn't really move us up at all in terms of composite rankings.(Numbers don't help much with the way they calculate it)

Now, if guys get appreciable ratings increases, as I think we've got a few guys with the likelihood of doing, things change. If we pulled a rabbit like Daron Payne or Javon Patterson, that would put us in the upper 240s -- the #13 - #16 range.

As of now, I'd call it a top 20 class. Going to likely finish pretty close to the overall class OM had last year rankings-wise...
