I will say - I did predict this year that Florida would lose to Tennessee. I think UT has been somewhat undervalued going into the year by our fanbase.
What really worries me isn't that Florida lost, but that the team had the mental toughness of a wet napkin. And I do mean the whole team, coaches and players. It was a total team loss.
That, for me, is sort of hard to accept in year 2 of this new regime. I think that's why I personally struggled with this loss.
IDK about everyone else.

That's one reason. Another's the lack of discipline in tackling, penalties, etc in every big game. We need a big defensive stop, personal foul to continue the drive or several missed tackles, leading to a TD. Need a first down on 3&2, false start or holding.

The penalties thing is just who we are at this point-- some of it is the SEC refs. Regardless of who our coach is we're almost always top 3 in the conference in penalties- we were under Spurrier, under Zook, under Meyer and even under a disciplinarian hardass Saban disciple like Boom, the trick is not running a conventional attack so we can counter that-- Florida can't be Bama or LSU, at least not at an elite level, what we can be is the fastest (Meyer) or highest flying (Steve) team in the country.

I actually said I was more worried about Tennessee than Georgia and LSU, and now I'm way more worried about the next few years. They're going to be the next good team out of the East.

Yeah, the Vols might end up having the most complete coaching staff in the East-- that's the benefit of pulling in top 5 classes repeatedly you just have tons of talent to work with. Our guys have to do more with less- like Oregon or Texas Tech un Leach-- this is a team that's probably always going to be talented but not in that top echelon of SEC talent with the Bamas, the LSUs and the UGAs-- at least not with this current staff.
