looking at the rest of the schedule, I only really see 1-2 wins left. That puts us either at 5-6 or 6-5.

Does that lose Mcelwain's job or is he given another year due to both the suspensions and youth? Does the incoming class buy him another year?

To me, youth should not be an excuse in year 3. If UF goes 6-5 or worse, then he should be fired. This team has a lot of talent and a great Qb coming in. A legit coach like Chip Kelly could have this team dominating by year 2.

Unless we go win-less from here on, he will be coaching next year.

If next year is as lackluster as these past 3...he may be in some trouble.

A&M is not a good team.
UGA is going to curb stomp UF.
Mizzou is horrible.
USC is a bad team.
UAB is UAB. They shut down the program a few years ago.
FSU sucks.

Not saying that UF is great but the schedule is not difficult outside of UGA.

I doubt he will, but will never say never. The schedule is honestly not that tough outside of UGA and possibly A&M. Refusing to make coaching changes could become a whole separate issue as well.

Tamu - has a great pass rush and is a better team than LSU. Not a good match up given how franks panics under pressure.

Uga- lol. They're gonna win by 30

Mizzou- easy win

USC- looking decent this year. Tough game. Toss up.

UAB- win

FSU- Fsu may be down due to qb issue, but they're improving and have a much better Defense and coaching staff than UF. Loss

I have us at 5-6 or 6-5.

TAMU is a much better coached team that we are right now. This is a loss in the swamp.

UGA is very one dimensional, so we should be able to keep things close in the 1st half but eventually they will out physical us because our guys are thin on depth and undisciplined. The offense will eventually wear down our defense by making mistakes as well.

Mizzou is a train wreck but we're good at making dumpster fires look attractive. I see a very close game, much closer than necessary.

UAB - sandwich game where I'm calling an UAB upset right now. This our our Troy. This team is legitimate and not to be taken lightly, which most likely we will until the upset. This game should cost Mac his job but people will make excuses for him.

FSU - light years better than us right now, even though they are struggling. This should be the final nail in the coffin but it won't be. 2 out of the last 6 is most likely our fate. Then comes the hard part.

Well, don't count UGA as a L just yet, maybe it will be, but I think Oklahoma thought Iowa State was a sure W too.

Iowa State is a better team than UF... Fact.

We don't have a competent offense, haven't had one for almost a decade and the defense is looking like one of our worst as well. Anything can happen in football but UGA looks leagues ahead of us right not. I love your blind optimism though. You have to have hope.

A&M looked decent, but let's not go into ''sky is falling'' mode. LSU just played their superbowl -- Orgeron threw everything at a very young, inexperienced Florida team and needed a missed PAT to win. I think we can beat A&M, though, they're not world beaters.

UGA, they should win, they should have won the last three years in a row. There are a lot of times they should win and they don't, there a lot of times we should win and we don't. If we shut down the run (Conventional RBs for LSU only got 2.9 yards a carry, 85 yards on 31 carries) Fromm probably won't win the game for them if he needs to throw -- he's a lot like Franks (numberswise even), he just has two five star senior running backs.

Mizzou is a win. Don't even need to explain why.

South Carolina is a win. They have been shut down completely against good defenses even with their best offensive player on the field and lost by 10 at home to Kentucky.

UAB is a win. Goddamn, boys, it's UAB. They lost to North Texas and Ball State.

FSU is probably a win, they've looked so bad. We're going to have a chance to put them into the ''non-bowling'' category.

8 - 3 isn't what we're looking for, but I'll take it. 9 - 2 would be better, obviously, but UGA is gonna be too difficult without some serious luck/rivalry miracle work.

Lol at ppl saying we have a 5-6 win season

No shite Sherlock!

Tyrie isnt healed, Toney is hurt, olineman is still hurt, our defense is starting a Freshman secondary and we went down a LB last week as well.

Jimbo loses his QB and cant win a game... just sayin

nothing about this teams spells out an automatic win. as soon as we fall below .500, the wheels will have fallen off.

which is very possible within this month.

and as far as UAB, don't knock them out yet. if troy, georgia state, louisiana monroe, etc can know off a top tier team, UAB can.

Vegas says UF beats Aggies. I don't see how. They have been pretty decent all year outside of one quarter vs UCLA. UF should be 3-4 after Georgia. South Carolina is looking good after stomping Aeky and its AT Usce. We will win vs UAB and Missouri. Rest we should lose to be honest. This team has no discipline, bad coaching, and just doesn't have it together. Why..because Mac sucks. Time to fire him. Sadly, won't happen.

LOL at that prediction.

I wish I could be that optimistic.

UAB has a higher ranked offense and defense than us. Wow. I wouldn't be shocked if we lost every remaining game.

I told you this would happen. It's 2013 all over again. I said the defense would suck and the youth or injuries would be brought out to defend the HC. How any Gator can choose a HC over the UF program baffles my mind.

You were ALL OVER Jimbo's nuts. Slut rabies look for him -- and you even made excuses for him. That's the thing, though, excuses are valid for other teams -- but not our coach.

Jimbo loses his QB and might not bowl. -- Hey, losing a QB is hard to overcome.

McElwain loses his QB, both All-SEC WRs and an All-SEC RB, his starting Safety, five backup scholarship defenders -- we're terrible, what an awful coach, it's all his fault!

frick, man. Of course injuries and youth are being used to defend him -- he lost to LSU, not fricking Georgia Southern.

What bothers me the most is that recruits can see things more clearly than our own fans. LSU is still LSU, and Orgeron is basically doing his best Muschamp impression by winning games that he had no business in winning.

McElwain at least is showing that he understands the problem at this moment. I hope with everything he doesn't make me eat my words, and that he adjusts to fit Franks...

Or even just show Malik Zaire the field a little bit. Something definitely has to change.
