I dont give a rats arse what his motive is...if he wants to come play football at UF why the hell would you care?
He didnt pout about UF...he simply had a relationship with a coach he had known a long time...whats so damn hard to understand? Again...it turned out that it didnt work out and coach left...not the players fault. But I harken back to my comment about teenage girls cause they are hell when scorned. Some posters just like to throw bricks if a high school kid chooses another school during recruiting so what? We are suppose to be mature...well...most of us over age 20 are able to wish em well and concentrate on who is coming to UF.

Im well over 20. Im just saying he made a choice and should stick to it.

LB David Reese is taking an ov to UTx this weekend, but UF will be going in home with McElwain and Shannon tomorrow night.

Gatordmb89: Unless you have heard different I have not heard Eason reconfirming his GA commitment. However I did hear that his relationship with current GA commits is what is going to make the difference. Im still very happy with Franks.

WR Isaiah Johnson has decommitted today. This is his third time decommitting. This was expected to lose a WR or two. He was previously committed to Miami and Louisville.

4 Star DE Jordan Smith from Georgia has committed. He recently decommitted from South Carolina and intends on being an early enrollee in January.

And the hillbillys thought they might have had Smith at UT. We always need DL recruits and OL recruits...cant have enough.

Looks like we may add a LB commit to our team in the next couple of days. David Reese 3 star. Randy Shannon has visited him and he is high on the Gators. The visit went great and he supposedly told people he is committing to the Gators.

Most of those highlights are showing Reese unblocked and a few where RBs were undersized trying to block....hard to gauge his power from those clips....but he seems to have some giddyup and instincts of a good LBer.
He will find SEC play a little tougher when OL 300 lbs are blocking you. We need LBers as a priority and hopefully he looks at our roster and sees that we offer a lot of playing time if he can grasp the defensive calls.

The dead period starts today and ends January 14th. Leaving 2 visit weekends between the dead period and NSD.
Some things to watch the next 4 weeks, because coaches are still very active messaging recruits during the dead period. 1 call per week from coach to prospect, unlimited Twitter DMs, unlimited calls from prospect to coach. Those are the basic rules for contact between coach and prospect.
LB David Reese should pop within the next few days... UF, UTx, and Nebraska are finalists.
Myers brothers movement... Coaches feel like they get Jayvaughn back in the fold and really like him. UF is working hard on NCM mom, she is the key. How this progresses over the next month will be crucial for the home stretch run.
Bama boys... Taylor, Nelson, and Perine are solid commits. This leaves Mack Wilson. The staff feels good about getting him, but that doesn't mean much. Saban used his only in-home a month and a half before NSD. UF needs to get Wilson on campus again for me to be confident.
OL numbers... UF would like to sign 4-5. Guys to watch... Tatum, Pridgeon, and Simpson are guys to keep an eye on moving forward.

To me this staff has been "solid" from a recruiting standpoint thus far. However, I'd like to see them start closing on some sho nuff studs at this point.
I'm just not sure I'd call this an elite level staff from a recruiting standpoint or not. Just my .02. I was ready to call them elite from just a coaching perspective based on what we have done this year, but the nose dive at the end of the season has me taking the wait and see approach once more.

The prospects dictate timing most of the time. I expect a solid finish with the addition of 8-10 4 and 5* prospects.

Derek Tyson thinks UF has a good shot with WR Victor still. If NCM signs I don't see it happening. Also heard we are pretty much out of the
Eli Stove race now. Jevaughn Meyers got an offer from the Trojans we will see if that affects him at all.

I see it as an either or thing with NCM and Victor. Highly doubtful UF can sign both.
