Looks like Ty'Son Williams might be a little further down our board than we realized.

RB recruiting has me nervous right now. We need to land a STUD and we're surrounded by talented players, but I don't see us at the top for any of them.

What makes you say that? Kinda surprising, seems like the staff would want to get him.

But since we're planning on signing two RBs and hes said playing time is a big deal to him he might want to be the only RB in the class.

Guessing AJ Turner out of Virginia and Bryce Love out of North Carolina are the top two if Williams isn't up there

I read somewhere that we weren't making the strongest push w/ him and then a day or two later he came out and said we weren't in his top 3 (made the top 5, I think). Several CBs to Notre Dame since then.

Yeah, that rules UGA out, I would think.

I want to see us turn up the heat on Jordan Scarlett and Johnny Frasier. Might be too late w/ the latter, I think he's a heavy FSU lean.

We lead w/ AJ Turner out of VA, according to GCC. At 180 lbs, though, I don't think he's an every down back?

huuuge pickup. But I think this guy could be swayed by other schools. I'm glad he recommitted, but I will believe it when he signs on the dotted line.

What a surprise, Green and Key get away from their head coach who was pushing them to UGA, and both recommit to USC

He seems pretty solid at this point.

Projections keep coming in for Austin Clark to UT. They see him as a G, thought we were offering chance at OT. He announces in a wk or so, I think. We're not out of it, but we are no longer in the lead.

To my understanding, UT has been slow-playing him, trying to stay in the mix if some other higher prospects don't sign as well. He is a damn good player, so whoever lands him will be getting a good one, but UT is trending right now, making one final push.

WR Irvin Charles of Haddonville, NJ has cut his list to USC, Penn State, Louisville, Florida, Michigan State, Maryland and Miami.

Visiting next wknd. Looks like we're taking 4 WRs this class. Need a big target like him.

I don't keep up with recruiting as much as some of y'all so forgive me if this has already been discussed but did Shameik Blackshear get bumped from a 5* to a 4* at some point? If so, why? I'm looking at Rivals btw.

On Rivals he did. Heard it had something to do with an injury last season

Yeah but he is a solid 5 star talent for sure. Can't wait to see him suit up in the G&B.

If we had to break it down by position, who are the main prospects left on our board as of right now with the understanding some of it might change between now and signing day ... (bold is committed)

QB - Nunez (done here)

RB - in need of one or two

TE - Markway

WR - Washington, Neal, Bowman

OL - Palmer (need two more minimum)

DE - Blackshere, Key(could be done here)

DT - Milton (need one more)

LB - Pittman (need more)

DB - Fields (need one more)

Ath - Christian (probably a DB, but who knows)

We'll probably sign 25 in this next class. Plenty of room for another 10-13 commitments, agreed?

Targets:

RB (one, maybe two): Bryce Love, Nyheim Hines, AJ Turner, Ty'Son Williams, Jordan Scarlett

WR (one more): Irvin Charles, Auden Tate

OL (at least four more): Brandon Sandifer, Emanuel McGirt, Austin Clark, Tommy Hatton, Garrett Thomas, Zack Bailey

TE (maybe one more): Connor Redmond

DL (at least three more): Dante Sawyer, Marquavius Lewis, Albert Huggins, D.J. Jones

LB (one more): Davon Durant

DB (three more, just a guess): Carlton Davis, Damon Arnette, Octavis Johnson, Mike Hughes

Those are the names that pop up most often. We'll miss on a few and new names will appear, but those are the prospects who it appears we have traction with at this moment.

Milton, white kid from Louisiana, will be playing on OL. We're switching him over and he seems excited about that.

Milton is being recruited as a C, Christian as a WR, and Washington's commitment status is still murky (listed on Rivals, not on 247).
