Check out what they did against Auburn, Alabama and LSU. They were the only decent Defences they faced.

You beat both A&M and OM without their starting QB's.
Talent matters. Nick will light up defenses who are as talented or less talented than state's offense, but will suffer against faster teams who can stop the run

I don't think Mullen is all that great of a coach, but he can develop QBs. Give credit where it is due.

Picked him up (in my CF fantasy league) later in season after TCUs Kenny Hill collapsed, and Nick was one of the big reasons i was able to finish strong and win my league. His performance against OM got me the trophy in a very tight CG.

Don't have much room to talk because Nick was an unstoppable force vs. our defense last year, but I would hold off on calling State a dream destroyer until you prove that you won't play teams like South Alabama and Miami OH close lol

if hurts could throw the ball this well, Bama would currently be at 2 in a row and would end up with 4 before he left for the NFL.... but alas, he cant throw the ball worth a shite... yet... hopefully that changes. fingers crossed
