I might have the edge, since I personally root for the Braves, Hawks, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres.

I was such a big Roddick fan back when he was playing, which meant being disappointed on a much more regular basis than with traditional sports. At least he got one, though.

Yeah, I know. I had a good friend early on in college who was from England and a MASSIVE QPR fan. I followed soccer a bit, especially when the WC was on, but he really got me into it and QPR became my team, too. Horrible decision, but I am loyal to a fault. They are my team and they're on the verge of being relegated to fricking 3rd tier.

I remember growing up seeing Michigan basketball, Hurricane Football, Cowboy football, and Bulls apparel on the same 'fan'. His twisted head had a reason for each one. I'm guessing 25 years later, his Cubs gear is out (people drive through the North end and come out lifelong Cubs fans).
My agony is die-hard Atlanta/Georgia fan... and my wife hates sports (and loves watching me suffer all year).

No biggie, nice to see true loyalty. I was an England and USA fan for the WC's and always liked John terry as a defender. I asked how I could watch him outside of England and got pointed in chelseas direction. Extremely popular team but I support them.
