I think we looked good overall and well coached that game. I think most of us assumed 10 wins and a shot at the East based on that game.

I definitely thought, before the season, that it could be one of the games we might lose. I thought we went into the game with a good gameplan. We looked rough at times, but since it was the first game, I figured that was the deal.

I really like the way Chaney/Smart has gotten our TE's involved in the offense and I like the little FB flare out to the flats, we run sometimes. It's been a strange year the way we can run one game and look bad running the next....then when we can't run we can pass.

Mark Richt's teams weren't soft.

I have no idea what the frick you've been watching for the last decade, but it sure as hell wasn't UGA football.

The 2012 team wasn't soft. Undisciplined maybe but definitely not soft. I thought someone was gonna die in the SECCG that year.

I have no idea what people mean when they say a team is soft. What does it mean to you?

Really? I thought they had a very good team in 2013. I was not as impressed with the 2014 team, but I thought they were much more than a rent-a-win.

Sometimes I think we allow our perceptions to be colored by other people's opinion rather than reality. Since being in the SEC, I think they had one really bad team....last year. Even when they had a bad record their first year in the SEC, it was due to a large number of injuries, similar to our situation in 2013.

But it was also willingly accepted by a bunch of soft headed Georgia fans who never will understand how good Richt was, even when we fall far short of his success for the next decade

Saban raised expectations for every coach in this conference, and Richt didn't meet the new expectations.

They were also blown off the line of scrimmage against Alabama, Tennessee and Florida last year.

Highly debateable until Shawn Williams went rogue and blasted his own teammates

No doubt. but people should realize nobody has met the expectations and level that Saban has brought to the SEC, and probably nobody ever will while he is at Alabama. that's like firing all the good coaches in the conference when Bear Bryant was in the league. Sure you want your team to compete....but realistically it just isn't going to happen. So, in my opinion, you don't go out and get rid of very good coaches and set your program back in an effort to accomplish something that just isn't attainable.

(Again, I also thought it was time that Mark Richt move on, but we have to be careful of the reasoning we use when we get rid of a coach.)
