Hey Aggie, do you regret getting rid of Sherman?

It's pretty obvious that Sumlin is a joke and has lost control of this team. He would like to thank JFF for the 5 milli you suckers pay him tho.

All jokes aside I think you have a lot better offense and record under Sherman.

No. For a multitude of reasons, but mainly because JFF never would have happened. There was a very real chance that Sherman would have started jameil showers (later transferred to utep) and JFF would have transferred somewhere else.

That said, if I were sumdog millionaire I would offer just about anything to steal Sherman away from coaching Massachusetts highschool football and bring him back to coach and recruit Olineman. Though I wouldn't blame Sherman for saying no thanks with the way his dismissal was handled.

I don't know. I still think Sumlin can get the job done, but he either needs to take over the offensive playcalling or bring in someone with a clue for coordinator. That being said, I wasn't entirely for Sherman getting canned in the first place. 2011 was just a weird season with all the blown leads.

I'll put the question back at you though: are Arky fans back on the Bert train?

It was time for Sherman to go. Sumlin's success (or lack of) doesn't change that.

I do wish we could have kept Sherman in some capacity for his OL recruiting. Hes definitely solid there.

They get to claim that they have the most overpaid/overrated coach in the country.

Most of us didn't want to hire Sherman in the first place.

He has a SEC coach of the year award. Never finished last. Never won less than 8 games. Not too shabby for a "joke" head coach. He could be doing much better tho obviously.

I miss his West Coast offense. It was putting up some of the best numbers in the country and it was balanced.

Sherman at A&M: 19-19, 11-13 in the Big 12, recruiting average over #20
Sumlin at A&M: 36-15, 17-15 in SEC West, recruiting average under #10

you want him back because Sherman never beat you as opposed to Sumlin...who's kicked Flagship's arse each and every season.

That sort of performance gets you fired at the top tier SEC schools.

With Sherman's playcalling in 2012:

We lose the Florida game.

We lose the Arkansas game after building a 17 point halftime lead.

We lose the Ole Miss game.

We lose the Louisiana Tech game.

We lose the LSU game.

We lose the Mississippi State game after building a 24 point halftime lead.

We lose the Alabama game.

We go 5-7 instead of 10-2.
