I haven't really read through this thread, so I'm not sure what has been discussed.

Regarding the AP situation, I am not opposed to spankings on kids in the slightest. If a kid aint listening, he needs a whooping.

I will say I kinda have an issue with taking a switch to a 4 year old and causing damage still visible a week later. On top of that, making a 4 year old bleed is way over the top. As is making the child have the leaves in his mouth from the branch.

That type of whooping seems more like 7-8 years old to me.

I got many whippings, whoppings, beatings whatever you want to call it with various instruments of destruction at home and at school.

Those taught me 2 things.

Don't get caught and whoever is physically stronger and/or in a position of authority (leverage) to impose their will does not make them right.

I didn't have to beat/whip/whop my children. They behaved the way they should and did what they should do because of how they were raised. Now I freely admit they were much better kids than I was. I was running as hard as I could after things I shouldn't have, was immortal and could fly, so I deserved everything I got. But there is another way, but maybe it is rare.

I agree. I also think a whooping serves a purpose.

A 4 year old is way too young for that shite though.

I got spanked and i spanked. Never hit the kids in the face. Taht's a no no. Never caused them to bleed. For what it's worth, nobody advocated what AP did. IF he did what he is accused of he will get what he deserves, hopefully.

Agreed. I'm for spanking, but if you're leaving cuts or making them bleed, you're not doing it right, IMO.

Exactly. God gave us fleshy bottoms for a reason. To sit on and to get spankings. But it is not made for blood donations.
