Why are South and East Carolina playing in North Carolina?

Eli's not bad if you don't care about mundane things like down & distance, score, field position and time remaining.

I also think uga might be the worse. The whole crew they have is nothing special at all. I used to like the guy that did ga. tech he was great. I think he still does falcons. I kinda liked munson he was tough to follow game though. But I was a UGA homer I would have thought he was great. I used to like listening to Auburn guy new guy is not as good.

I do not think he even expected to be doing this at this point in his life. I really think he is doing it to honor Bramblett. He even tries to emulate Rob with some of his calls. I appreciate the effort.
However, I was under the impression it was purely an interim gig, and that AU would be hiring a permanent replacement. It seems like when Harsin came aboard would have been an ideal time, but Burcham is still at it.
He’s about my age (60) - wonder how long they plan on keeping him around?

Seems like most of the great announcers have done baseball at some point. Learning to paint the picture is so important for radio. Vin Scully is probably the best example.

It's definitely not us. While Cawood Ledford was perhaps the greatest SEC radio man in history
Most descriptive and interesting sports annoucer anywhere, period..... Was very fortunate to have (2) clear channel radio stations, one in Louisvile, the other in Atlanta, to pick up Ledford and Munson for night games.... The other very exciting knowledgable announcer was John Ferguson at LSU. Did hear John Ward at Tennessee who also was very good, but only was able to get the signal while passing through Tennessee.

Never thought it was on an interim basis. They had a few people who applied that would have been a good long term answer if that was the case. I always thought Barry Mcknight sounded like Jim Fyfe and does a good job. He actually used to live in Auburn.

I miss Jim Hawthorne at LSU. Don't really care for the current guy.

I was hoping they’d have Andy do one season and then bring in McKnight or someone like him with solid PBP credentials.

Rod got better over time. At the end of his career he was as good as Fyffe. Andy Burcham just flat out sucks. Our broadcast needs to be completely started over from scratch. It’s sounds like a hs game. I flip over to the Ga game and the sound is so much clearer

Munson was the best for me. If I was on the road growing up we’d listen to him give an 8 hour pregame radio. There wasn’t a local radio broadcast for Auburn so it was tough listening to Auburn unless we were close to the state line

Jack Cristil was great. Even Ole Miss people liked him.
He never pulled punches and he was at his greatest when he was sarcastically digging at his own team.
"And today's Sonic Drive of the Game will be my drive back to Tupelo. And I hope it will be an uneventful one."
RIP to the GOAT.
