we have 1 five star player currently on our roster.

So you equaled the 5 stars that played corner and that one corner was playing in the first college game of his career. And if you noticed, he wasn’t targeted much.

Right. Understandable that you're riding high right now, but there are going to be some very frustrating games in the near future for you.

What’s your point? LSU did not have a bunch of blue chip guys playing cornerback last weekend. They had two 3 stars, a no star, and a true freshman playing his first game. If State has similar success against a more talented and veteran group then by all means crow about it. But saying y’all faced one of the most talented secondaries is just not accurate of what y’all faced Saturday. I’m not sure if you noticed, but we were gutted by the draft and another opt out before our best player was ruled out Friday night. None of those guys were starters last year and none were supposed to be this year until Vincent opted out.

Sure, as there is for every team in the history of college football. My point here, though, is that the Air Raid works in the SEC. I've said nothing of records, accomplishments, or feats. All I've stated is that the Air Raid works, and it's coming for the rest of the SEC. In the future, we will surely have tough days offensively and will surely lose our fair share of shoot outs. However, the Air Raid works. We didn't just throw for 623 yards against Vanderbilt or ULM, we did it against the defending national champions and "DBU".

I would love to see either of them bring blue chip guys to Pullman Washington (they wouldn’t.) State has two out of state top 300 wide receivers one being the fastest player in the state of Texas. He also has a big time 4* qb out of Texas. That was all before we embarrassed LSU on national TV and in the middle of covid. The Leach doesn’t recruit is the worst excuse and false.

At certain position groups sure. But what was on the field Saturday (y’alls receivers vs LSU corners) it really wasn’t the case

In fairness we were God-awful before he arrived. The annual debate was "can we beat Vandy"

our receivers have been labeled the worst receivers in the conference two years in a row coming into today. Quit acting like we fielded veterans. against your young team. These guys just implemented a new system with no spring and have led the league in drops 2 years in a row.

Bookmarked for opportunity to crack joke about coming too fast when the ship capsizes. If not... frick it... I'm happy to witness the new pirate overlord of the SEC. Hopefully he really does dress up for Halloween.

Leach’s problems have always been a lack of defense to compliment his offense.

Then quit acting like your scrubs just killed a bunch of 5 star studs

But here were your leading receivers Saturday

Mitchell 3 star 5th year senior
Hill returning All SEC RB
Payton 3 star JUCO (#16 in state out of high school)
Shavers 4 star senior transfer from Alabama
Williams 3 star senior

So going unit against unit in Saturday’s game with who actually played, do you really think LSU overmatched State on paper in the passing game? Or would it be a push at best?

LSU has a new DC and started 2 guys that weren’t even on the team last year, one wasn’t even on the team 2 weeks ago

7 sacks Saturday with a walk on starting and our only returning corner hurt.

Payton and Mitchell last season combined for more drops than LSU’s entire team. Mitchell has dropped 3 game winning TD’s his entire career here. These guys weren’t supposed to be good at all.

Our starring quarterback and team captain joined the team in JULY. He had a little over a MONTH and fricked you up. Two starters transferred on defense. several graduated and went to the nfl. we had a fricking walk on starting.

Payton and Mitchell have also played in more games than anyone in LSU’s secondary. I don’t know how you watched that game and thought LSU had elite players in the secondary. Why can’t you just be happy about winning the game instead of going down this illogical rabbit hole. Like seriously, I know you’re used to LSU only having 4 and 5 star elite players in the secondary but that’s just not the case this year and certainly wasn’t when Stingkey was unavailable.

I’m not talking about the secondary directly. comparing the entire teams. I said secondary early in and you proved me wrong. My point about LSU having 3 times more talent still stands.
