If you think about it, we dont let our Mac, or any of the other qbs throw those RPO quick slants very often. Its just bread and butter for Tua. But its a dangerous pass if you are not accurate.

Croyle had a stronger arm. He won the NFL skills competition one year with around a 80 yd throw.

If Brodie would’ve had a Saban-recruited supporting cast, he would have put up similar or better numbers.

If my aunt had a dick, she would be my uncle. I remember Brodie and he was not in Tua's league.

Not really. Tua by a lot. Croyle had a cannon but he had nowhere near the touch or accuracy of Tua.

This isn’t really a fair comparison I mean we’re talking two completely different eras of CFB. If Brodie had come up in high school learning this offensive system he may have been great at it. It’s hard to compare these different eras with any true accuracy.

Come on now, this isn't even a discussion. But I'm glad to see the whole "man, if Brodie could've just stayed healthy" thing is going strong. What couldn't Healthy Brodie have done?

Tua is a better passer

Brodie was made of glass

Tua needs to strengthen his legs

That's dead on skills wise and I would add Tua's quick feet as well, but Tua is the Goat so it's a tough comparison for anyone. Still give the 25 yard out to Brodie though!

If Brodie had played in this Offense with this O-line and receivers he would have put up some HUGE numbers. I remember a TD throw he made as a redshirt freshmen that was a literal 65 yard frozen rope hauled in right on the goal line.

Even with the injury history, lack of talent around him, and lack of titles Brodie went 2 rounds ahead of AJ in the Draft. Dude had some serious talent!

Fond memories of Brodie and was my favorite Bama QB till Tua came along.

Croyle was brittle as a piece of fine china in a dishwasher, but I’ll never forget the look on Urban Meyer’s face as Brodie & Co. welcomed him to the SEC 31-3. He’s a Bama legend just for that.

Better passer than Tua? No.

Brodie liked chasing tail and the bars around T-town, so did I at that time. He’s grown up to be a fine man and carrying on his father’s legacy.

Brodie was s great QB on crappy teams, Tua is a goat QB on some damn good teams.

JaMarcus threw 80+ on a gallon of purple drank. Not sure if that is the appropriate measure.

Holy shite. Brodie overthrew EVERYTHING. He had absolutely zero touch on the ball. He'd try to kill receivers with velocity on short balls, and deep balls were always 10 feet over receiver's heads.

He had great arm strength, but anyone who remembers Brodie as a great passer either didn't watch football, or was a small child who didn't understand it.

his weaknesses are mainly just bad habits
and lower body injury luck... also similar to Brodie in that regard

The real ? in this comparison is how many South American doves has Tua shot?

To the OP, Tua is the best all around QB to ever walk on the field at Bama.
