Yeah I went over to the Reddit CFB thread (not shockingly locked after an hour) and almost all the Bama fans (and many other southern school fans as well) on there are hating on him. I know Reddit is left leaning but it is quite surprising considering how much of a republican stronghold Alabama is.

This is beyond stupid for multiple reasons.
First of all, that's ESPN's call; Alabama has nothing to do with who the guest picker is. Second, he may only be President for another 13 months anyway, yet Alabama and this game has the chops to attract a President...any President. Could be a Dem next time.
Thirdly...and I can't stress this strongly enough...if the snowflakes get turned off because of this, then they need to take their asses somewhere else to play, because when we go back to the White House after another championship and Trump's still there, we don't need any pouty bitches staying at home.
Maybe you weren't fricking paying attention the last time we went to the WH. How many of our players pitched a hissy fit? Exactly zero. There's a reason why. There's a certain character Saban recruits, and it's worked pretty damn well.

Well, I'm a right-leaning person and can't stand Trump.

Dude, these extremely short political comments are house wholly inside of a thread about a treasonous sitting President whose going through impeachment proceedings visiting and therefore fricking up the Game of the Century Part 2, at least as far as fan experience goes. What? Do you think this thread should be dedicated to discussing Trump's relevance to the Xs and Os of the game? His presence and wild unpopularity across the country and globe is definitely relevant.
