Yawn. I’m in good shape. I’ll stick to the sidewalk until he makes it into the playoffs. There’s our top rivals still to play. Hopefully this thread doesn’t get bumped at the end of the year, and you have egg on your face.

We are looking great. I hope we can beat LSU in BR. Do that and I'll officially mea culpa. Otherwise this represents your typical Auburn fluctuation.

Everyone is well aware that you're not on the bus.

I was off the bus and willing to direct traffic so it had a clear path to drive right off a cliff. I’m very happy and having positive thoughts about this team and season. The schedule ahead is brutal though. I think this game against UF is one of the biggest in his career. Lose on Saturday, we’re likely headed towards an 8-4 season and the negative talk will be loud as ever.

Not every year, but i believe the bar is set at 9 regular season wins. If you cant consistently win 9 then you should be on the hot seat

Once Auburn spanks Florida in the swamp Saturday and Auburn becomes a top 3 team in the nation, with three top 25 wins, do we let these riders who prematurely bailed out back on the bus or require them to just run along side till they pass out?

aint never getting back on the gus bus

Doesn't Gus average 8.83 wins a season?

Tell me where I said every year? The playoffs have been going on since 2014. It’s not unreasonable to at least make it in once every 4-5 years.

No one gives a shite about averages. 9 wins a season is the bar

There are 12 paragraphs to discuss why that is total BS but I dont have time to write them. If you guys believe this is a totally new Gus then believe that. What ever makes you feel good.

The same ole Gus gets us the same ole 4 losses we've had for the past 4 seasons. If we make the playoff this year it's bc he's grown as a coach and you can only assume that the pressure from the fan base and the warmth in his seat have a lot to do with it.

It’s September. Gus Malzahn has had some Auburn teams start off the year hot, only to break down at the end of the season.

2014: started the year 7-1, ended the year 8-5 (bowl loss)
2016: started the year 7-2, ended the year 8-5 (bowl loss)

TT, you have to realize that part of that reason is because our schedule is loaded at the tail end. If your better opponents are at the end of the year, you are more than likely to have what we have experienced in your post

WE have also had some depth issues due to injuries, players leaving or being kicked off and of course recruiting. Those depth issues tend to show up more later in the season.....

We still play the hardest schdule in football. And I expect some fall off moving forward due to that schedule. Now if we could play Clemsons schedule, everyone would be praising Gus like they are Dabo. The hardest team Clemson plays is the 5th hardest team we play. And they play them at home while we went there to play them

Sorry. There will be no seats left for you by then. Just stay on the sidewalk

Why would I have egg on my face. This thread was created to make fun of all the people who are up and down. Ive made no predictions that we do anything other than beat UF this weekend.

You guys take things too literally and cant have fun at anything.

As someone said, just a bunch of miserable fricks sometimes

I never got off of the bus, but I don’t mind yelling at the bus driver when he is driving like an a-hole.

Dadgum right, but let's beat UF first.

I defended keeping Gus because of the need for continuity (see UT or Arkansas) and the cost of his buyout. He is still a frustrating coach, but I have been on the Auburn bus. Losing last year to MSU and especially UT was terrible, but average coaches do that. 2017 was fun, but coaching cost us the LSU game, same as 2018.

This year 8-4 is still a possibility. Needs to beat at least one of LSU, UGA or Bama.

Perennial 5 loss seasons doesn't keep me on the bus, I have higher expectations than that. I'm for Gus succeeding and I hope he has turned the corner but you have to expect the first 4 games to be sloppy every year just like this year. I don't now why it takes him 4 games to figure it out before he starts rolling in game 5 and he usually has a streak of wins in the middle of the season before the end of the season and bowl game drop off.

You know I’m a nega when I’m more skeptical of our team than Paul F Bomb and Jim from Tuscaloosa.
