One of the few problems the Dems have in elections is their constituents are not the most motivated individuals in the world - especially when it comes to voting.

Once blue collar dems realize that if they're not "brown" or transgendered that the Dems don't give a shite about them - it'll get harder.

I've been a fan of NYT's election tracker ever since this past November. Pretty good matrix they seem to have. Predicted Trump pretty early on. They have Handel winning by about 2% right now.

Agreed. They had trump winning shortly after FL and NC and kept going from there

We're at a point now where people aren't voting for Repubs - they're scared to death and voting against Dems.

Plus pencil necked metrosexuals like Konacki are the best thing we have going for us right now. Between him, Maddow and that other MSNBC young fluff that they have - you couldn't hand pick a better group most normal Americans would like to punch in the face.

Eric Ericson (sp) mentioned this today...

Handle/Ossoff wasn't the only special election in the country today, just the only one media was paying attention to nationally.

There have been 5 special elections for the House.

Assuming this result holds up, republicans have won 5/5.

So much for the narrative of a Trump backlash. The referendum is a total and pure rebuke of liberal politics, despite Trump.

This result, and the others, are part of the same wave that's been going since 2014.

Price won the same district by 23 points in 2016. Handel won by 4 points. If Trump is the reason for it tightening from 23 to 4, that ain't good for Trump...or Republicans.
