AU Fans- Transfer QB's

This is a serious question, please no trolling from others. Is there a reason why AU has had so many transfer QB's and not seemingly developed QB's that they have recruited. I had thought that your HC was a QB mastermind. I will say this the ones that you have had transfer in have done a great job with the offense.

The wheels are off the Gus bus.

Sean White and Malik Willis are/ will be developed just fine. However SW is injury prone and probably a better fit in another offense, and Malik is still just a freshman. Don't know why people think that just because we got Stidham that SW was a bad QB.
I once thought this as well. Gus fooled me. He failed to adapt the offense completely to SW, he offered JF3 as QB based on one half of juco football, and he let Jeremy Johnson fool him despite watching and coordinating all of his practice reps.

Gus is allowing the QBs to have an outside instructor/trainer I do believe. He had forbid that in the past, so hopefully this trend will change. With that said, there was nothing wrong with Sean White's progression, he's just too frail for consistent hits in the SEC.

Gus is good at a few things but developing QB's doesn't seem to be one of them.

Stidham must have lit it up in Saturday's A-Day game. I'm hearing some AU co-workers around the coffee pot this morning saying he looked great and WR's were spot on too.

Only time will tell. 9 or 10 regular season wins should be the realistic expectation, BUT we're Auburn and don't like expectations.

Still haven't lost my erection. Thinking of calling the emergency room.

We've got a lot of talent at that WR position that had been going to waste the past couple of years. Seems like we finally have a QB who can deliver the ball and an OC that is willing to throw it.

Nick Marshall had only 1 YR JUCO QB experience with more INT (20) than TDs (18). Hard to argue that AU didn't develop Marshall when he had 34 TDs 13 INT in his career
Generally speaking though, Gus seems to do a poor job with QBs who can't throw a good/somewhat accurate deep ball. The ones who do (Cam/Marshall) succeed and the ones who don't (Johnson/White/Frazier/Trotter) seem to struggle

Normally high profile transfers already have some skill/hype behind them. Just didn't work out for one coach but doesn't mean they won't work out for another.
Also a coach isn't going to build up one guy if he thinks another will be better. Of course they still improve, but more experience will come to the starter.

Developing QBs is not one of Gus's strong attributes but Nick Marshall's 2014 season seems to get overlooked by everyone. Nick was amazing in 2014 and it's gets overlooked because our defense was astonishing bad and AU lost 5 games. I know he was a JUCO but Gus had him two years and had two championship caliber offenses with him. 2014 was a much better year for Nick than 2013.

Marshall had only played 1 year of QB there after being a DB at Georgia since he wasn't a good QB prospect out of HS
Marshall wasn't a typical JUCO QB

The HUNH the way Gus has ran it, is not something that you can develop if they do not have the tools. The ones he has recruited did not pan out like he wanted, so he had to go with those who he knew were already developed (Cam and Marshall, and now maybe Stidham). His biggest issue has to be the recruitment of QBs out of HS. Most people saw that the majority of them did not fit his scheme.
