McGill is playing 9 other NCAA teams this summer
Last year they went 2-4 against NCAA teams. The wins were against Florida A&M and Farleigh Dickinson.

Then the Redmen will fly to Costa Rica to play Kent State (Aug. 14), and the Lamar Cardinals (Aug. 15), followed by back-to-back games against the University of Texas at El Paso Miners (Aug. 16-17). The cross-border confrontations return to McGill in late August against the St. Francis College Terriers (Aug. 28), Siena Saints (Aug. 30) and Hofstra Pride (Sept. 2).

It's been dead in here for the past couple of weeks.
I was at the Under Armour Middle School Invitational this past weekend at Lake Point Ga. Watched a rising 9th grade team from DC (DC Premier)put on a dunking exhibition during one of their games. They ended up losing in the championship game to the Boston Bobcats who had several long kids that could shoot the rock.
My kids team from Huntsville got beat in the simis of the 6th grade (rising 7th graders) division.
If you haven't seen that facility, its amazing. 12 courts under one roof or 24 volleyball. 8 baseball fields, 3 soccer fields, two multipurpose fields, and automated ski pulls for water skiing. Wish North Alabama had a place like that.

What's the name of your sons AAU team. I have a nephew who plays AAU and they do a lot of traveling. Same age group I believe.

Ahh cool I know my nephew switches teams sometimes. Last team I think he played for was the Madison County Warriors I could be wrong tho.

2018 5-star PF Reggie Perry has decommitted from Arkansas. He's from Georgia and wants to stay close to home due to his father's health. Alabama and Auburn are among his offers.

Well, Auburn is only 3 hours from Thomasville.

And I think he visited Auburn last year

If distance is the most important factor for him, I think Florida State is the favorite.

The MC Warriors are a strong team for that age group. They have a couple of kids that also play on the Atlanta Celtics who usually are regarded as one of the top teams in the country.

Didn't he list a top 5 or something without us on it?

I coached my sons team 6th grade Alabama premier. We use to play in Huntsville several times a year at Madison and one other big tournament.

On the recruiting calendar we've moved into a period where it alternates between dead and live viewing for the rest of July.
Essentially the first half of each week is dead, so no contact with recruits. The second half of each week is an evaluation period, so the coaches can go scout different AAU tournaments. I think they technically cannot interact with the recruits at these tournaments.

John Pelphrey was interviewed this morning and he said that we have 10 days of practice for the Canadian tour, not 10 practices. That means we could practice twice a day if we wanted to during those 10 days (just an example). I thought we had exactly 10 practices, so that's nice to know.

I can't wait to see this team play
