Everybody knows he's a pretty good RB
Apparently the OP thinks Harris is better. I happen to believe the Op is wrong. That's what this thread is about.

but he's never won anything at LSU
I believe he's won 19 games.
there have been plenty of good player go through Alabama that didn't win anything, but again, that's not the point of the thread.

The OP is tweaking y'all and apparently it's working. Right now Bama is a better rushing team than LSU, a better passing team than LSU and a better scoring team than LSU. They are a better defensive team and better coached. There's not much hope for your team against Alabama. I'm sorry it has to be that way.

Harris is a good back no doubt but would have gotten caught from behind like most good backs. But not the great ones

You have to watch college football. Being an LSU fan, with them cancelling most of their games, I understand the confusion.

I agree man. These next 2 weeks will be unbearable with all of these dumb LSU/Alabama threads.

Apparently not when you look at common opponents.
Did Alabama play a team with a decent defense while I wasn't looking?

I'm sorry it has to be that way.
It's best to just stay quiet, you don't look as nervous that way.

Let's get straight to the point. Who has more yards next week, Harris or Fournette?

Damien Harris leads the SEC in yards per carry, but LF7 is #2. These two are clearly the league's best RBs, but I guess we'll see who is actually better in 2 weeks.
If you want to make an apples to apples comparison go whack Harris with 9 iron in both ankles and a shin and see how he does...

YPC was the only indicator that LSU fans cared about last year
Now it isn't
Now it isn't

It's the only indicator.
It's the only similar competition, sure. But similar competition isn't everything. Comparing players is hard. But LF is better.
quote:
Otherwise, carry on comparing games Fournette played with a sprained ankle and include those stats.
Harris has been hurt too. He left the Kent State game with an injury and played only sparingly against Kentucky because of it, though LF's was obviously worse as he missed games.
quote:
It only makes Fournette's case stronger - including a game he played with a sprained ankle, against the 10th ranked rushing defense (and he STILL got >100 yards) - in a comparison with a RB who hasn't faced anyone.
Alright, I guess we're going this.
Rushing Defenses Damien Harris has faced:
USC: 68th
Western Kentucky: 16th
Mississippi: 113th
Kent State: 52nd
Kentucky: 93rd
Arkansas: 111th
Tennessee: 108th
Texas A&M: 79th
Average: 80th
Average Rush Defense Leonard Fournette has faced:
Wisconsin: 10th
Mississippi State: 59th
Auburn: 30th
Mississippi: 113th
Average: 53rd
Certainly an advantage for Fournette. However, as I've already said, Fournette is clearly the better player. It isn't up for debate.

Harris will likely have more yards. if he gets the same amount of carries. That doesn't make him a better rb, just a more effective one. Nobody runs on Bama. It isn't as much about LF, as it is about the Bama defense. LF would get more if all things were equal. You know the whole being bigger, stronger, and faster thing.

Bama fans really are sad, pathetic little turtle squirts.
I really feel bad for them. Meaningless lives, piss poor arse state that smells like arse and cat food, sex must be kept within the family or with the livestock (because it's hard to tell the difference between the women and the livestock).... sad, sad life they live.

On average, LSU has played tougher opponents in:
(* Denotes it not even being close)
Scoring Offense
*Scoring Defense
*Rushing Offense
*Rushing Defense
Passing Offense
*Passing Defense
*Total Offense
*Total Defense
I mean, I know you Bama fans sure did love comparing the average of teams faced last year. Just thought I'd help.
