Multiple reasons for offensive collapse at Auburn under Gus:
1. Poor recruiting and development of QBs
2. Poor recruiting and development of O line
3. Inability to see the strengths and weaknesses of his playing talent (Pettway, Jovon last year)
4. Awful gimmicky play calling
5. Little emotional connection as a coach. I get the feeling players don't enjoy playing for him (see Roc, Tim Irwin, etc leaving). Gus always seems angry and ready to blame anyone but himself (or Lashlee). Not saying every coach needs to have a Pete Carroll-ability to motivate players but it doesn't hurt.

I'll say that. Motivating your team is a skill every coach should be a master at to succeed. Gus is too mild in his demeanor to light a fire under anyone

On number 5...have you seen any locker room videos? The team loves Gus, it's not a question.
I agree with the rest of your points though.

You do realize that even NFL blows it on Qb evaluation. Look at Ryan Keaf, RG3,Jamarcus Russell.plus many others. They were suppose to be can't miss. Even then they couldn't be developed.
And you think Sabah is not a prick in the locker room and throws players and coaches under the bus.
We have one of the hardest schedules.
No one was complaining about high school gimmicky offense when we won national championship and when we went to another.
The sky is not falling.
