With some very average teams. What's gonna happen if Uga starts having better teams?

I think there are already some signs he's in over his head. Already being sensitive with the media down there.

He also had Ray Rice come speak to the team which is embarrassing.

We'll be praising Richt for his job in Miami before we praise Smart for his job in Georgia.

Richt will be "retiring" from Miami in a few years

He exploited the relationship he developed with players and recruits while being paid a top salary by Bama....snake in the grass

Just like saban. This is refreshing to see.

Georgia's media people can shove it. They had it made for the last 15 years with basically unlimited access, and then got pissy when it was inevitably taken away.

That's not even talking about the 90 day thing. Every UGA practice report now starts with, "We only get to see 10 minutes of practice" or some variation of that.

-mostly kept together our 8th ranked recruiting class and kept eason from going to florida
-brought in the best OL coach in the business
-is already recruiting a top 5 class for '17
-got the highest attendance ever for an SEC spring game
-was out in front of the satellite camp issue, had a plan in place well before the rubber even hit the road
-got 2 recruits to flip from bama, then won the media battle by getting smith cleared to UGA quickly

Yeah, we're falling apart!

Do you think Kirby first contacted Mo after Saban granted him his release?

You mean he was a good coach and recruiter, which led to players wanting to follow him when he left.

Smart has had a long-standing relationship with Alabama's players. My guess is he keeps in touch with a bunch of them. Proving the content of those conversations was actual recruiting will be tough.

Afterall, a player should be able to follow his coach anywhere

I'm not going to even pretend to know all the facts, because i don't. It's likely nobody on here does either.

What I would GUESS happened was smith wasn't happy and wanted to transfer. Idk why. He probably reached out to uga and said "hey, can I come there?" then he requested his release, and was denied. Then mom got all involved and blew the thing up.

I do not think that smith was perfectly happy and content at bama, then out of the blue kirby called him and tried to get him to leave and smith was like "huh, yeah that's not bad I'll do that".

Smith having contact with another team prior to saban granting the release doesn't really mean there was any exploitation. I mean, how logically idiotic would it be to ask for a release without even reaching out to gauage interest first?

And some very good teams. He also beat some VERY bad teams too. Who knows? I'll take the unknown rather than the fact that Richt beat our arse most years.

Yeah, I am sure that Kirby didn't promise Mo instant playing time, or tell Mo to suddenly have a passionate interest in public health so that he can transfer. I am sure that Mo came up with all of that on his own.

If Maurice Smith told him that he wanted to transfer to Georgia and would make Georgia's team better, Kirby Smart has to try to make that happen. That's his job.
