Same 10-2 and 9-3 seasons, same losses to teams that UGA shouldn't be losing to, same New Years Day bowl games that aren't NY6 games like the Citrus Bowl or Outback Bowl, same overhyped QB that comes in and doesn't deliver(Eason will be a huge bust).
They ran out Richt for nothing.

Well, no one is picking which recruits they want out of Georgia anymore, so that's changed.

Georgia will never be a serious threat year after year. I could see him having two or three two loss seasons in 5 years tops.

Or which players they'd like to keep on their own team for that matter.

That's never been the case but I'd be surprised if he locks down the state like Bama fans (surprisingly) seem to think.

you know we're doing something right when the scaredy cats come out of the woodwork.
People begged us to hang onto richt, for many of the reasons in the OP. Now we have new blood at the helm and people are nervous.

Not me. I'm glad he's gone. He had our number.

Well I guess this prophet has spoken.
Sorry other UGA fans, this guy already knows we will continue to be mediocre and Eason is a bust.
No need to watch us play or give Kirby the benefit of the doubt.
Nope.
Sorry guys. Guess we should just find a new hobby this Fall on Saturdays.

Meh, UGA will have some very good seasons with Kirby. They wont compete for the title every year but with the exception of Hershels years they really never have. I'll never forget Danny Sheridan saying in like 2002 that as soon as Donnan's recruits were gone UGA would slide under Richt.
I like Kirby's attitude though. He is the singular voice for UGA,
I dont think you will see Kirby at the WLOCP standing with arms folded sporting his Oakley's when UGA goes down 14-0 to Florida showing zero emotion, wearing "alternate" unis and goofy shite like that.

And you could argue that the reason is because we've never really had the right guy at the helm. Georgia has been dubbed many times a "sleeping giant". It's a great opportunity for someone to come in and make us a title contender year in and year out. We have a great recruiting base, we're in the SEC East, have the money and resources to compete (whether we're willing to spend it is another story), and have a large passionate fanbase. We have pretty much any advantage you could want save for an IPF (in process). So if Kirby is the guy, it could be a really nice run for Georgia football.

Otherwise I agree with you.

And for those wondering...this is why CMR is coaching at his alma mater now.

I disagree. I think he can get them over the hump.

Golden nugget is a master handicapper so he knows UGA better than you ever will. Congrats on 7-5 bro

Very succinct post backed by imperial evidence. You must have killed on the debate team.

Wonder which highly-rated QB he was calling "overhyped". Greene? Stanford? Murray? OP sure seems to know his stuff. Seems pretty butt hurt. Auburn fan?.
