8 yard hooks from the slot just aren't as impressive as 20 and 40 yard catches, bro. Coop is bigger, faster, runs routes better, and is better in the open field.

Cooper is bigger and faster but doesn't run better routes. They basically play 2 different positions. Catches over 20 yards are nice but Cooper only had 6 more of those than Landry despite running deeper routes more regularly. First downs are nice too where Landry was #12 in the NFL (Cooper was #27) and YAC where Landry was #5 in the NFL (Cooper was #31). At least Cooper was #2 in league in dropped passes.

Which is stupid because no matter what LSU fans will support Landry while Bama fans will support Cooper.

Exactly. I think Cooper will win this debate when both careers are over though. That's not to take anything away from Juice. He's by far the better pass catcher. I just think Cooper is slightly better in every other aspect of the WR position.

No idea. Starting with the incorrect info in the link and ending with a Jarvis vs. Amari dick measuring contest?

This thread is a fricking shite show. It was an amusing read though.

By me trolling and saying LSU is WRU

LSU does put a bunch of good receivers in the league though. So does Bama. With the type of talent LSU and Bama gets both will put stars into the league.

And the debate about Amari and Jarvis, I think Amari is the faster, more athletic receiver. I think Jarvis has way better hands, better route runner, and better after the catch. If Amari can fix those dropped passes then he will be a GOON. Till this day he's the fastest top end receiver I've ever seen in college football.

Except he's not. Landry has better hands, runs better routes and blocks better. The only thing Cooper is head and shoulders above him in is speed and size. Landry is one of the toughest people in the league.

He doesn't run better routes than Cooper. He's damn good at making circus catches because he doesn't get as much separation on DBs as most elite WRs. Which goes back to size and speed. Not a knock, it just is what it is. Coop can make circus catches, too, he just doesn't need to a lot.

Coop had a bunch of drops last year man. And Jarvis is a little bit better of a route runner just because he's smaller and can cut on a dime a little better. Believe me, I'm a fan of Amari Cooper. Every time I watched him play in college all I could talk about is how good he is. Hes the real deal.

The stupid in this is impressive, even for you. Are you just trying to out-retard the other shite posted in this thread so far?

Yes, at this point Jarvis has much more consistent hands than Cooper. Too many drops last season.

Again, you can look up the highlights from both. Jarvis is wide open a lot because of his route running and ability to get separation because he has to be exceptionally good at those things. He's not going to run too many DBs like Cooper can. A Lot of Cooper's highlights are jump balls and deep passes where his speed wins. We can agree that both are excellent at what they do.

The sentiment that a WR with 110 receptions in 2015 doesn't get good separation doesn't deserve a rebuttal. That level of idiocy should be ignored, to be honest.

You don't catch 110 passes in the NFL if you're covered most of the time. Take that weak troll shite elsewhere.

ETA: People on both sides are flat making shite up, and your ridiculous point stood out amongst the rabble. Fact is, both are very polished young receivers and both are going to be very good for a long time. Arguing who is better is redundant.

Football season needs to hurry up and get here so we can stop all the silly debating and just kick LSU'S arse like we been doing

Yeah, nobody said that. But you're right, the debate is dumb. They don't even play the same position most of the time.

I will add what was said from the NFL combine just to show you that you got irate for no reason though.

Average line release, acceleration and suddenness. Could struggle to separate vs. quick-twitch cornerbacks. Large percentage of catches are contested

Landry:

Cooper:

2 inches taller and 4 LBs heavier = head and shoulders above?

Cooper is head and shoulders faster though.

Landry ran 40 in 4.77 and 4.65 at combine, but improved to 4.51 at pro day.
Landry improves to 4.51

Cooper ran it in 4.35-4.38 at combine.
Teams informed of Cooper's 40 time
Cooper, Kevin White, and Devante Parker - Cooper out in front

Ok, then the ONLY thing Cooper has on him is speed. You happy now?

Cooper has scary top end speed. If Jarvis had Coopers speed then he'd be a legend. Jarvis has some of the best hands I've ever seen.
