Allegedly they ripped @TWEsq scrimmage tweets, and TD Alabama is threatening legal action for some reason.

So there is an expectation of privacy on tweets now?

I read the RBR article before it was pulled down. RBR says that the TDA writer read and stole their writer's Twitter feed from the scrimmages and used it as the basis for making the assumption and calling it a scoop that Hurts would be named starter. Offered proof saying that a couple of erroneous stats were quoted verbatim from the Twitter feed. Called it a smoking gun. Went on to call the TDA writer a thief and and an example of shoddy journalism

Sadly, this fiasco has been the highlight of my day

I was going to mention that Coker was not sick at all. Bateman had an extra ability which, he did not showcase.

For the record, the reason I speculated that Coker was sick gameday was in the few days before the game, you said Bateman had actually fallen to third in reps. When he came out, sucked it up, and was replaced with a Coker who was sucking down oxygen like an 80 year old emphysema patient between plays, I thought Coker may have been sick.

Yeah, it was strange but apparently he needed 02 lol, Bateman hadn't looked great but hey the coaches saw something and went for it. I think Coker should have played from the get go, he had kinks to work out. Ole Miss may have been different even with all our F ups had he started.

Qbs had nothing to do with the two kickoff turnovers.

Maybe you misread, I was saying Coker could have won even with all of our F ups meaning 5 turnovers. Never talked about the qbs sucking.

Same qb lineup after media viewing as yesterday I would like to note both Bateman and hurts received the same amount of 1st team reps.

It is my belief both Bateman and hurts will play time early and the best plays the majority.

Free instant analysis from Travis Reier. Good information but a little long-winded at times.

Alabama was back on the practice field Wednesday afternoon for its 21st practice of the fall. The Crimson Tide players practiced indoors and in full pads on a mostly-sunny, 93-degree afternoon.

Here are several tidbits from the media viewing portion of Alabama's Wednesday practice session in Tuscaloosa:

- The quarterback line remained unchanged during the media viewing periods of Wednesday’s practice. Cooper Bateman led Blake Barnett and Jalen Hurts in individual drills, while Bateman and David Cornwell (foot) led the two quarterback lines that threw to the Tide running backs and receivers, with Barnett and Hurts lined up behind them, respectively.

- ArDarius Stewart started off drills with an impressive one-handed catch on the far side of the field. That has been routine for the redshirt junior, who also made sure the younger players did 10 pushups when they dropped a pass.

- Freshman wideout T.J. Simmons was one of the players to drop a pass, and Stewart did 10 pushups with him.

- Cam Sims (knee) and Keith Holcombe (ankle) once again appeared limited, although Sims did run a few routes.

- Today was the first time I noticed freshman Shawn Jennings on the practice field since the spring -- when he was riding a stationary bike in a black, no-contact jersey. Jennings was lined up with the safeties, wearing a crimson No. 19 jersey Wednesday and a light brace on his right knee. Jennings was a three-star athlete from Dadeville (Ala.) High School.

- Alabama’s nickel defenders remained the same with Marlon Humphrey and Anthony Averett at cornerback, Eddie Jackson and Ronnie Harrison at safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick at Star and Reuben Foster and Rashaan Evans at inside linebacker. Hootie Jones replaced Harrison at safety in dime, while the sophomore moved closer to the line at Money.

- It was good to see athletic director Bill Battle on the sideline watching Wednesday’s indoor practice. Battle underwent stem cell replacement therapy to fight multiple myeloma, a form of cancer he was diagnosed with in March.

- Former Cleveland Browns’ general manager and CTSN color analyst Phil Savage and new Alabama baseball coach Greg Goff were also spotted on the sideline of the Tide’s 21st fall practice session.

*** What’s next: Alabama will be return to the practice field Thursday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. CT.

Guess Jennings is a safety again after initially being listed as a LB...

Thought this tidbit was very interesting. I don't know if that's something they've done in the past? But I like it. That's the kind of leadership we need if we want to avoid a repeat of 2010

Jennings is listed at 6'1 220. I'm hoping he can develop into the type of hybrid SS/LB that is becoming popular in the NFL now.

Both Jennings brothers could be contributors on defense in a couple seasons. Lots of good things have been said about Anfernee (6'3 268). I think he's the top backup to Tim Williams in run sets. This season Anfernee could have a role similar to DJ Pettway.

Hopefully the young guys don't take it the wrong way. I remember the reports that young guys didn't like AJ being hard on them. Gotta toughen em up.

They could have the "damn, gotta work" mind set. Or they could have the "frick you, you're not my coach, I'm tired, I'm not doing that shite" attitude.

The latter isn't welcome in T-Town.

I think that this part:

makes all the difference

Stewart was under appreciated last year due to Ridley's big numbers, imo.

Huge grabs against UT, the Barn, and Clemson last year were clutch.

Yep Stewart would completely disappear and then huge play.

Stewart was instrumental but inconsistent. He'd make a circus catch then on the next play, drop one that hit him right in the hands.

At some point later in the season, Saban talked about how Ardarius had always been a great athlete, but was really becoming a great receiver for the team. Hopefully a lot of that transition carries over.

Ridley, Stewart, Foster, Howard, Dieter is an insane WR Corps.
