Bama's streak was at the end of a non-winning streak of 20 games that started with a loss and two ties. What isn't discussed about this period is the shut-outs. Bama couldn't score, much less win!
During the five year period from 1953-1957, Bama was shut-out SEVENTEEN times. In the fifty nine years since then, they have been shut-out only an additional eleven times.

Ears record is just downright funny. U could win 4 games at Bama not even practicing. He even had Bart Starr at one point. Absolutely insane.

Dubose won at least that many games in his first season.

I don't think Tennessee should count because 34-3.

Ohio State lost 4 straight in 1924 and 1943..since then..only 3 other 3 game loss streaks (I'm not counting the 1800's.)

That'd be a great stat... if this was the MSB.

I was at the season opener in Athens in the rain when UT started their 0-6 streak in 1988. Interesting story...during their bye week UT hired a new DC (Doug Mathews) and switched from a 3-4 to a 4-3...they won 5 of their last 6 with their only loss being to Bama and went 11-1 the following season.
ETA...link to highlights of the game...and remembering that the rain stopped about when the game started.

So what you're saying is that the 3-4 has always been a pox for us.
