A bad argument is painful enough, but when it's coming from your side of the court, it's even worse.

Recently seeing pro-gun folks criticize the gender-neutral signs has cracked me up since their mantra has long been that "a sign isn't going to stop someone".

Hard to choose just one. So many contributors. I see so many here making the same tired, getting-older-by-the-second-in-today's-world, stock arguments for christianity that I used to faithfully make with the same conviction I use to have. So in a way this applies. Now it just makes me sad for them. When I sounded like them, it was the only thing that made sense to me too. I couldn't see any other way. Most of the time the abused can't. I just wouldn't allow myself to be anywhere near the mindset it takes to truly be honest with yourself. Thank God I did. I wouldn't live a single day different now.

Does it annoy you when believers insist on telling you they're believers/recite scripture/talk about God?
Posted on 6/15/16 at 12:04 am to Jeb Busch Lite
Not really. I understand they can't help it.
Posted on 6/15/16 at 12:07 am to Stacked
Gotcha. I just never understand non-believers who attack believers for being too outspoken with their faith and then they turn around and do the same thing with trying to show people that how much of a non-believed they are

Yeah, don't know what to tell you, man. It doesn't annoy me when others share their beliefs. But thanks for telling me how you feel about it anyway even when I didn't take your bullshite bait.

When people say that 2nd amendment has anything to do with personal self-defense or hunting. The fathers of the constitution gave us the second amendment to give us the ability to overthrow our government if it got tyrannical. I'm tired of this being an argument.

I'm a huge fan of the second amendment. And I own about a dozen guns. And I support the right to own assault rifles (I own two ARs myself).
But the argument that we need them for self defense is preposterous. The best home defense weapon is a 20ga shotgun. Followed closely by a semi auto handgun.
I cannot think of a single reason why I would ever want an AR in my hands if someone were breaking into my home.

You're right about self defense and right about protection from tyrannical governments.
But I hunt wild hogs with my AR and a 10-round clip. It's much more effective than a bolt action rifle.

Like 90% of what Stacked says.

Everything I say is right. You'd do good for yourself to be more like me and stop catering to the less witted in the name of tolerance and peace. It's time to leave the less witted behind and stop pulling them along in the name of a better society for the majority who want to really try to live civilly. There's no place in a civil world for an uncivil anything. Religion is among the most uncivil thing our society practices. Blood and sacrifices and offerings and relic practices. The sooner we abandon it the better for the majority of us who know it's what is needed.

You seem so terribly sad, hateful and angry all the time. Maybe if you were more open, tolerant and not focusing on judging others so much you'd be more at peace?

I think in the case of it being familiar, someone might prefer it. I'm really not opposed to some sort of regulation being imposed on it. Like maybe you have to belong to a shooting club for 6 months or something in order to purchase one. Iunno. There are creative solutions where we can make incentive and common sense bigger players, while not inhibiting our second amendment rights. You aren't allowed to own a bazooka or a hand grenade, so we already understand common sense limitations, maybe we need to throw the AR-15(or MCX or whatever else) in to the middle ground. Where you can obtain one, but it's more difficult.

OP, this is what I'm referring to.

Or at the very least stop giving gun licenses to people on the terrorist watch list

I'm more interested in being right than happy. lol. Only sad losers would want it the other way around.
Fortunately, being right has in return made me happier than I ever thought I was as a Christian. Should've gotten some more spackle to cover those holes I guess. Then i might've stayed ignorantly in bliss like the Christians still here.
