These brands don't make a ton of money directly from these deals. The real value is the exposure and brand allegiance it builds
While AU #s are high in TV, it is for small markets like BHam. When UCLA is on TV it is in LA/West coast
Also, they've been better than us in football on average since Mora showed up

In a very weak Pac12 they've gone 9-5, 10-3, 10-3, 8-5. That's okay, on average as you said, but their highs aren't that high.
If you put our 8 win teams in the Pac 12 we probably get to 10 too. I'll take our SEC title and NC appearance since 2012 over Mora's tenure.

In the context of this thread, better means exposure. They've finished the regular season ranked every year and since Mora's 6th game, UCLA has been ranked in the AP poll some 50/54 weeks
I like Mora as a coach and Brett Hundley was great but their OL was swiss cheese even during their 10 win years. Auburn would have sat on their faces.

If you travel outside of the South it's depressing how many people either haven't heard of Auburn or if they have don't know where it is.
When I am outside the South I often hear, "Auburn is in Georgia, isn't it?"

That typically is on the outskirts of the South. Once you move to the west or comfortably north you get
"Auburn is in New York right?"

Birmingham typically ranks in the top 5 tv markets for a lot of sporting events mainly college football but think we do high NFL *sometimes basketball #'s also. That's what I meant by sports market. We watch a lot of televised events here
Mostly because we don't have any games here to attend....luckily I'm moving to Nashville in 2 months

The fact that you think we got low balled tells me everything I need to know about your knowledge of this subject

Eyeballs on a TV is a mega factor in driving the market, but it's not THE market. The market is the buying population. LA has 10 times that than AU

That makes a lot of sense. It goes with the point that people will buy anything with "LA" in it.
Would like to see the school do more to advertise nationally. Social Media, for example, is providing lower cost means of spreading Brand Awareness.

Think about the brand exposure just of people wearing UCLA shirts.
California has 6 of the top 35 largest metro populations. Alabama has 0 and 1 if you include Atlanta.

They should start by figuring out who decided to give a shite about the bookstore social media. I thought they just were using Athletics stuff but seems to bookstore makes it. Their GameDay hype photos are legit
comparing old vs new stuff
Old Stuff on Facebook
New Stuff

Not quite sure what that means unless you are the one who took over the bookstore marketing which I doubt
