Ok genius, tell me how you justify 65% of your student body being from out of state ?
First it was 60+% now it is 65%?
Out of state students make up 51% of the undergraduate student body for Fall 2015, per the University of Alabama Office of Institutional Research and Assessment.

Actually, it's 54%
If they are not "in-state" they are technically out

Auburn's tuition is more than Alabama's, yet Auburn has not had a massive expansion like Alabama. So why has AU's tuition risen to the current level and why does it keep going up?
People in the state of alabama have had crazy low tuition for years.
I went out of state to Auburn for less than most of my in state options.

Bro, Akmed and Jing Su don't count. They get their own special category. They own safe space category, if you will.

When Puppet gets done with this thread, 90% of UA students will be from OOS.

Getting Smart Boards in lecture halls costs money. Offering "free" subscriptions to microsoft office for students so they can complete their homework also costs money. Subscribing to the latest technological advances also costs money. Software for the geography department, for example, also costs a lot of money.
What is the cost of online course vs classroom expenses ? Online library vs large buildings, admin cost vs online services.

Are they "in-state"?
They absolutely count, more so for the topic.

Again, find me a credible private school even close to the cost of attendance at Alabama for an in-state student. Doesn't exist.
Alabama in-state total COA : $24,572
Auburn in-state total COA : $29,794
Mississippi College : $29,891
Huntingdon College : $36,935
LaGrange College : $42,600
Birmingham Southern : $45,568
Samford : $43,742
Mercer University : $49,393
Spring Hill College : $50,931
Emory : $63,058
Vanderbilt : $63,532
Tulane : $66,518

quote:Can you tell us why Auburn's tuition is more than Alabama's? UA increased enrollment, expanded student housing, expanded academic facilities and has more in-state students than AU but AU's the tuition is still more than UA. Why?
Ok genius, tell me how you justify 65% of your student body being from out of state ? There is a direct correlation as to why increased tuition is associated with increase in student population

Umm, we still have those large buildings.

admin cost vs online services
Considering we have to have an entire department to deal with technology, not to mention constantly having to purchase the newest software, computers, etc, I'd say the saved admin costs are negligible at best.

You really going to try and compare a degree mill online college to a brick and mortar University?
I've worked with people with these online degree and they would of failed out freshman year at a University.
It's incomparable the difference in educate you get.
Colleges offering full online degrees are just watering down the education process.
