Nope. As far as we know, they've never even tested positive on a drug test.

So does probably 80% of this board. Fact is the pot in this generations eyes is not the big deal. The gun is the big deal. Every team in this board has had a player busted for marijuana possession of some degree but the response is always big deal.

To me unless he harmed somebody or stole the gun himself I don't care about the gun. The marijuana bothers me more than the gun.

Cam will lose million. Hottie will probably get booted. Horrible judgement. Just maybe the cop prevented something else from happening much worse.

This happening in LA was the worst thing that could happen. The DA probably will get his palms greased. A fair trial is a total impossibility for these 2. They treated the krystal kid like a murderer. With that said, they screwed up and the can stay in LA for all I care. I don't think it's right to force a kid doing the right things to sit the bench behind two players that have the common sense level of a 12 year old.

The pot is not a big deal. Both with weapons and one in the lap of the player is the issue. If the weopons were in the glove compartment or trunk they can claim ignorance , having them out means they thought trouble could happen.

They should have atleast been smart enough to not get caught in a state other than Alabama. Especially not to get caught in a state where the legal system is full of a rival schools fans.

I agree. I never expected this from Cam. I thought he was focused on the NFL.

Trust me the DA will do everything he can to help these kids but it doesn't leave many ways out. Kids will get stiff consequences and it will not be resolved quickly. My not play this year.

If things are how they seem, I don't want them on the team. I'm sick of kids doing shite like this and getting a free pass. The dumbasses had guns and drugs. That's a horrible combination.

its the gun that might get him kicked off the team. of course, we both know possession of a stolen gun wont get him kicked off the team either, but it is the more serious charge, by far. dammit! why couldn't hootie hang out with the other benchwarmers, instead of the best player on the team.

This is true, and I can say that because I grew up in Monroe/West Monroe. Those cops don't have shite to do on that side of town but look for dumbass things like this, especially at 3-4am. Cam and Hootie had to know this from growing up there, hell, that park is literally across the street from Neville HS where Hootie went! Why not just take a drive and get high? At the same time, why do they feel the need to have guns? That's what's fricked up to me, I'm sure I'm old & just don't get it though.

Yeah usually louisiana is pretty chill with first time drug offenders to a certant extent, as far as weed. It's called pre trial intervention. But the guns is going to get them in trouble.

I really don't think they were smoking. They were either selling or buying, but not smoking yet. No paraphernalia was found.

I think they were sitting in the park after hours and the cop saw the gun. Then, he found the weed and the other gun. They were either going to sell or had just bought.

Do you understand how excited I was when Jefferson got kicked off the team for this? And how devastated I was when he was brought back? This is just a terrible example.

And yes, felony possession of a stolen firearm is worse than a bar fight. So your example is doubly bad.

Either way, those Barney Fife's had boners when they found drugs and guns. They blew their fricking loads when they figured out who they were. It's just the way it is up there with the cops, one of the reasons I moved away 22 years ago. They sit across the street from bars, pull over and harass designated drivers hoping to find something, no lie
