Serious injuries are "10 to 20 times that."
As my late physician father said, "stay away from doctors."
If you can.
You should be very afraid, if for some reason you have to go to a hospital.
Doctors are less reliable than mechanics.

frick doctors, let's just get rid of them and live the way nature intended: to the ripe old age of 35.

There is a reason it's called a practice

Clearly the answer is more tort reform

What an informative non-biased article...

Those involved in this study called the prevalence of preventable medical errors an epidemic, and we hasten to agree.

GEE, I WONDER WHY?
This is like linking a pro-abortion website article talking about the virtues of the practice, or an anti-gun website talking about firearms being an "epidemic."
Basically, you should be ashamed of yourself, OP

I love these type of numbers. They include complications from surgery like open heart surgery. Never mind you'd already be dead from your heart attack if no medical intervention occurred.

The website is citing a peer reviewed journal study. If you have objective facts from a peer reviewed journal that disagrees with the conclusions of said study, please feel free to cite them. Or you can just continue to disagree because the facts don't line up with the echo chamber bullshite you've been fed for years

I don't even fricking care about whatever crusade OP (and apparently you) are on
But giving a topic with that url is a bad look. Gotta beware of that when you're arguing a point, man, come the frick on.

I wonder how many sexual mistakes produce

Lol I agree there, there are a bunch of other outlets that are less divisive than a firm blog that reported it. I do get riled up on tort reform though.

So I'm taking it you don't have any friends with a PhD in sociology... I've seen some amazingly pathetic peer reviewed drivel, based on feels. I'd imagine the medical field may be slightly better, but peer reviewed isn't as rubber stamp of truth/fact.

I believe the response was to show me a different conclusion from another study using the data. Scientific method still stands. If it's there hang your hat on it, if not don't bitch

Your dad never said that.

Your study was written by a man who blames the hospital his son died at.
Hes also using his website to sell his book.

here is a better link for anyone who might want to read and think

hospitals are very dangerous places to be. You don't want to be there unless what you have is even more dangerous to leave untreated (which unfortunately is a lot of things). but watch em close

Not true.
You have no way of knowing whether or not open heart surgery prolonged your life.
