The only advantage that matters is
Saban > Miles - until that changes advantage Bama

It's hard to overlook that after 5 consecutive losses, however Les did manage to defeat Nick in 3 of their first five matchups. What's more, 4 of the 7 losses could have gone either way, so there's always hope for a turn-around. One thing's for sure, Nick's record (7-3) against LSU is no accident and likely very close to what he's done against most of the rest of the SEC during that time frame.

You should have kept Steele then.

he left on his own accord

Just so you know. In their '12 through '15 recruiting classes the badgers signed more than twice as many two* or lower than 4* recruits.

No way, steele was going for some kind of bama retirement package.

Randy... You could go either way

The four games in question are
auburn- starting QB was MR Heisman j johnson. Believe he was starting QB from the get go.
state - starting QB was another heisman hopeful and best QB in SEC heading into season prescott.
ole miss - starting QB was kelly. Believe he led the SEC in passing maybe or total "O". Something like that. Best QB in SEC heading into '16.
a&m - starting QB was if I remember correctly k allen. Pretty sure he was the starter most of the season.
Which of these four didn't face bama because if the tide didn't play all four they are the ones that faced off VS a second string QB.
When I was in pre K3 at good old Garfield elementary we would do flash cards in math class. Everytime the old school marm would hold up cards 261 and 260 and ask which was more it was always 261. Every time. Not three of four or 99 out of 100 but, dude every time.
Just the fact that the LSU weakass soft "D" could hold these offenses within 100 yards of what the allmighty god's gift to football tide "D" did is totally freaking mind blowing. Don't you agree?

You keep saying this to justify your pathetic existence when your players leave the system and become busts.
Also you keep using that same gif. Find another. You're boring now.

How is it humanly possible with the LSU "D" being so soft and easily pushed around? Just like a hot knife through hog head cheese.
There shouldn't be a defense in the country that could hold any common opponent within 100 - 125 yards of what bama did. bama does have 19 starting 5*s on defense. You are aware of that fact. Right?

L5u gave up over twice as many rushing yards to those common opponents.
Plus, for us Bama fans It has more to do with head to head results. You know where Bama out gained lsu 434 to 182 total yards with rushing yards of 250 to 54.
That's why Bama fans have said the defense was soft. Head to Head is what matters.
Then lsu allowed Ark 299 rushing yards.

still doesn't change the fact that LSU held four of six common opponents to fewer total yards.
Tiger "D" did do something right last year and return so much more production, experience and depth than what the tide does.

Anyone who thinks LSU talent is equal to Alabama's is no a realist. Going strictly by the rankings of the recruits coming out of high school here is the breakdown on 5 stars.
QB Bama - 1 LSU 0
RB Bama - 3 LSU 1
OL Bama - 1 LSU 0
WR Bama - 2 LSU 2
DL Bama - 3 LSU 0
LB Bama - 3 LSU 0
DB Bama - 4 LSU 2
TE Bama - 1 LSU 0
This was based on last years team. Since then Alabama lost 2 five stars and added 3 five stars. LSU added 2 five stars. Not sure if LSU lost any. Bottom line is Bama has the most loaded roster in the nation.

The Same players that got manhandled by Bama will face a better Bama OLine this year. Bama puts up 200+ rushing again this year and gets 6.
There may be 3 players in that group who would start at Bama - Beckwith would play a LB position. White would get the corner opposite of Humphrey. Adams would play.
DBs would be Humphrey, White, Minka, Eddie Jackson/J. Adams
DLine Allen, Hand and Payne
LBs Foster, Beckwith, Williams, Anderson
Neal and Keys would be the first 2 off the bench.

Typical bama. It's all about the stars.
How bout we talk about returning PRODUCTION. That means players that have actually DONE SOMETHING. Nothing to do with high school. OK
Being the tide's claim to fame is "D" I'll start there.
LSU's
DL returns all three starters and 70 more tkls. Two very experienced subs.
LBs return two starters and two more with starting experience. Tigers return 25+ more tackles.
That's a combined 97 more tackles for the tigers. Don't forget that bama played 25% more games. OK.
combined front 7 returns 2.25 sacks per game and 3.8 tfl per game.
DBs return a total of 50 starts (6 different players) from last season. Secondary had 75 more tackles. bama did have more pics and passes defended but, they did have more opportunities.
LSU is bringing in the BEST defensive recruiting class in the SEC/country.
On offense tigers return nine starters.
A returning starting QB for the first time in a few years.
A 2,000 yard rusher and a very good group of seasoned and productive subs.
Like the tide three starting Olinemen.
Both starting WRs. bama had MUCH better production last year. Both LSU guys are very good though. Most underutilized players on the team.
Once you get to college it's not about how many stars behind a player's name. It's about production on the field.

Sure, they held Bama to just a little over 500yds and 35points. That is tgoat worthy to get a bunch of 3-4*s to hold Bama that low, especially when it's Bama's first game of the year with a lot of new starters, no set QB and at a neutral site.
Come on Sid, Arnada gonna be the savior for their D, you know like how Cam has with their offense.
This is the Yeauxr

And we've seen that production head to head and it got manhandled.
Bama will have a better OLine this year and will end up with a better overall offense.
Bama's defense will as good overall and will lead the SEC in the majority of categories. Scoring, total and rush for sure and will be top in pass d leading in Ints
6 is coming

With a total of 7 returning who've started at least one game so better depth than they've returned in a few years.
