Out of all the things to criticize Mike on you pick his press conference. He should of just said we would be average then everyone would of been cool with him now....right?

Guess the problem is Fayetteville, maybe because it is #NWAsoWhite

You never fire a coach unless you can replace him with someone better.
I'm just curious as to who in the frick do you think they're gonna hire with the state of things right now?

College basketball has changed.
Arkansas last appeared in the sweet 16, 20 years ago. The landscape of college basketball has changed since then. We live in the era of AAU control and one and dones. AAU basketball is ACTIVELY hostile to the University of Arkansas regionally. Our administration does not tolerate the same level of blatant cheating at other programs. We do not have the same talent pool to draw from and our in state players are being paid to attend elsewhere. This is not an attractive job. Coaches that are succeeding right now play the AAU game in a manner that will not be allowed at Arkansas.
Until the landscape of college basketball changes, this is where we're at. We can probably improve it to appearing in the NCAA tourney 2 out of every 3 or 4 years, but until the NBA moves to a 3 year stance like the NFL or MLB, it's not changing. Unless there are massive changes in how AAU basketball operates or we replace our EXTREMELY successful athletic department with a group that will operate like Ole Miss or Kentucky or Auburn, this is where we're at.
Basketball, as it stands, is not a sport that the University of Arkansas can expect to excel at. This isn't because of the University, this is the reality of college basketball right now.

It is a dirty game. We have largely given up on basketball at our house, it's all about baseball now.

Misread his post, now after I reread it, I see what he means. The fact that we are 9th instead of 11th. I thought he was saying I was wrong regarding that I have never said "Fire Mike"

So many excuses and a big tin foil hat

Haha, this is the best argument you have.
Your stubborn brain can't wrap itself around the fact that Arkansas basketball hasn't been a relevant power in 20 years. Arkansas losing 90% of its production doesn't get the benefit of the doubt anymore, hence being picked 11th.
Even if we had a better recruiting class last year we still would have been picked near the bottom of the SEC, that is reality of our program right now. That reality isn't Anderson's fault, it has been that way for a while now.

Its his job to make the program relevant, and in 5 years, he is failing

So, even with the JUCO's coming in next season, you would agree that Arkansas will be picked at the bottom of the league again, in Andersons 6th season...That is nice to know.
Arkansas loses 4 players this season, so that is 8 total the last two years. Add in Babb transferring and that is 9 players lost. Add in Williams getting kicked off the team and that is 10 players lost in two years.
Mike has signed and enrolled 1 player last season, and 4 this season. Five players do not replace 10 departures. ESPECIALLY when you want to run the entire game.
I am not saying fire the guy right now, but something has to change. Mike needs to get his head out of his arse and start getting some contributors in this program or he will not be here much longer.
