We didn't lose out on him. We just didn't recruit him. Some say it's grades and some say it's other things but the staff is not a fan of the kid.
There is zero chance that they are passing on a Fayetteville kid without a very good reason. I wouldn't stress too much about it.

He probably did what 85% of youth so today and back talked his mother, but did it in Berts presence. He is not uncommon

I watched for him in the 7A state championship game on TV, guess he was wearing a different jersey number (listed as 99 on MaxPrep roster, but no 99 was on the field), figured from watching that he must be wearing 95.
95 (if that was him) didn't stand out from what I could see. Did not dominate anything.

He's head and shoulders the best player in 2A, and arguably one of the best athletes in the state.
83.3 3* on 247 Composite. 247 itself has not evaluated it appears.
5.5 3* on Rivals.
Not rated very highly, but it appears he really hasn't been evaluated.
IMO, he did himself a disservice by not transferring to a larger school where he would have gotten more exposure against better competition.
Grades may be borderline.

Any word on Javier Edwards yet? Thought RD said he was supposed to make a commitment today. We look to be in pretty good shape with him.

Thomas? From what I understand, they are aware of him and heard that they would want him at CB if they were to offer, but I don't believe there is an offer out there to him at this time. If so, it has been really quiet.

Ive heard grades and test scores are an issue. He has also transferred quite a bit and sometimes that throws up a red flag.
There are off the field rumors, but none seem to be true. Sour grapes mostly from places he has transferred from.

I keep reading that we are expected to get Martin. Very good size/speed combo. 6-4, 225, 4.37. 3 to play 3 I believe.
