Still no. Not even really that close in style either.

I know. That was my point. JR won't be as good as Mason in that style of offense with a Marshall type QB. He isn't as flexible. KJ would be a better fit but Idk if could be an every down back.

Jovon Robinson may be bigger, but you are really underselling his vision, shiftiness and ability to be "small" in the hole. The guy had it all. I just hope he can stay healthy and out of trouble. His talent is through the roof.

I very rarely saw JR run into the backs of his OL when a hole was 2 feet away from him.

Or feel the need to spin every 3 yards while he's running the ball.

I liked that.

People like to forget we ran the same play over and over too. Everyone on the Defense knew Mason or Marshall would have it and followed them from the snap. That's alot harder to run against than getting the ball every now and then.

I don't think JR is bad but I'd take Mason over him any day. I just hope we don't have to resort back to running the same play everytime like 2013 because JF3 is our best option and can't pass.

I know some on here think he will be more of slot WR/jet sweep guy but I think Gus plans for him to be QB all the way. I like Sean White a lot but just the possbility of having a stud dual threat guy is exciting.

I think so too. Gus was visibly frustrated all year with both QBs.

This disqualifies from ever commenting on Auburn football in here again. You are dismissed.

His patience might have been what was most impressive.

He's closer than JR is. JR is closer to a power back. You don't want a bigger back running the option every play.

bullshite you don't. If JF3 is QB he provides outside threat while JR is inside

Because Mason had vision, speed, and power but he was also durable enough to carry it 50 times in a game. Few backs have all that and if they do half stay hurt. JR is closer to CAP than Mason. Barber was more like Mason but not as good.

Honestly Barber was one of the worst backs we've had in a while. He had ZERO patience and it cost us on converting 1st downs when we needed it. JR and Mason each have their different running styles. I've been impressed with Jovon so far. I wasn't ever blown away by anything CAP ever did. He had a nice run in the 2013 SECCG I guess.

I think that says more about how good our backs have been.

Barber was solid but not by any stretch great or elite

What? Barber sucked. He was literally nothing like Mason. Like, I can think of no similarities whatsoever. I liked CAP, but Robinson is much better player. He's the best RB we've had since 2004.
