I got so unbelievably excited when I saw the dates at work yesterday. Planning on doing both Athens shows + Savannah.

Why the frick do they have to play on a weekday?! Friday and Saturday would be so much better. That would mean that I could go. shite.

I mean if you don't get them on the site the second they come on sale you'll be fricked. How much were they going for last time in Athens?

I got lucky last time and scored them on the release, but I know people that paid $500+ a night

Hundreds of people gave donations to the Classic Center and got first dibs on tickets in 2011

And will this be Todd's first show back? Jimmy didn't seem to know in the interview they just released

They'll be in Columbia on Saturday and Sunday. I'll be attending both nights.

hobnail-
I was actually glad you popped in here. What did you think of the interview? To me it actually sounded like "Todd is a great guy, and i'm really humble to be in the band he started, but my son in law is a badass, and the most incredible musician around....but i'd love to play with todd at some point, in some fashion"

I think you are right, Jimmy prefers Duane but that isn't really a surprise given his machine gun tendencies. They play really well together too.
Duane is definitely more high energy and versatile and the jams seem to have more punch to them these days, but Duane can't really nail the songs themselves, the structured inside the lines stuff. He butchers Holden Oversoul and doesn't really know when to take his foot off the gas and sit back in the pocket and just keep the beat.
Todd seems content playing with Danny, Sam, and John. I've caught about 5 or so of those shows and they all seem to be having a good time. Maybe it is best for everyone to keep it the way it is.

It's not all that bad. Traffic is easy, cost of living is pretty low for a small city, and I have an awesome job. I'm 2 hours from the beach/Charleston to the East and 2 hours away from the mountains to the West. Aside from it being hotter than hell in the summer time and the humidity so thick that it can suffocate you, I really like Columbia. It's definitely grown on me since I first moved here.

Yes, but do you have an open container law?

Season tickets for 2015-16 aren't available anymore per the box office.
That was the only way to get in early for ticket sales

Just seeing if he can handle the road.
He rejoins the band next year.
