Given the fact that most people don't carry flood insurance because it's an expensive add on, I bet there are many people in your state who are looking at a complete lose.
Prayers for the people of South Carolina.
Don't let changes to a football game ruffle your feathers, especially with everything else that's going on.

lame your AD, I don't know why it couldn't be played in Charlotte.
I'm sure you, a message board poster, knows better than university officials, the SEC, and the NCAA.
They actually did contact the Panthers about playing in BOA stadium, but there are many obstacles including a NASCAR race nearby that would make it a logistical nightmare. Also, there are more factors that come in to play in hosting a football game than just the venue. Tiger Stadium and BR have been preparing for this, it's the best and most logical option no matter how inconvenient to the "home team".

it's baffling to me that some people are this dumb. LSU was a top 5 team in 2005 and actually did win the sec west. Despite al of that, they moved a game 2500 miles away at the drop of a hat and a game the following week to a monday night on short notice. Actually it's 1400, but hey, let's not have our facts straight, right?

Charlotte turned it down due in part to race week from what I heard.

Why does it matter where the gamecocks get their arse beat? Sounds like it is a good decision. There are plenty of bars in Louisiana for yall to drown your sorrows...

If we were 5-0, I would be livid but understand that this is probably one of the only options we have and suck it up and watch us lose a barn burner.
But since we are what, 2-3, I can careless. This game just went from 38-17 LSU to 52-7 LSU. Ole Leonard will solidify his Heisman campaign with a 300+ yard rushing game and Spurrier will respond with, "Well gotta coach em up harder"

you had the same message in at least on other thread today. we get it. your life sucks because a football game had a change of venue.
obviously, your life truly sucks. maybe you could volunteer to help out some of the poor folks that lost everything they own instead of worrying about something so trivial as a game.

The SEC should have enough sense not to allow on team to get 5 home games thereby giving one team an added advantage. This should not be allowed. This game should be played in Legion Field before LSU gets an added advantage.
This is BS.
This is BS.

if lsu would have played the mcneese game does it make it more likely that they would have just cancelled this one all together? probably not

You probably wouldn't be in the SEC anymore and would certainly face a multi-year bowl ban.

Please tell me you're just trolling. That is the most ignorant thing I've ever heard.

IF USC is 5-0 and UNDEFEATED right now - would they still do this?
Everyone who follows SEC football should know this but here goes; In 2005, when Baton Rouge and the Gulf Coast was rocked by Katrina and Rita(an even stronger storm than Katrina) the top-ten ranked Tigers were considered SEC and national title contenders. They were forced to play a "home" game in Arizona and moved a subsequent SEC game to a Monday night. Things happen and people just have to cope the best they can, in sports or in life. The important thing here is that we remember the folks who are grieving and suffering through this tragic event.
