Oh, boy, look at all the soapbox riders in this thread. All of you know that it is possible to simultaneously be sad about the flood AND mad that a home game is moving to Baton Rouge, right? It's really not that difficult, holding two thoughts in your head at the same time.

Otherwise, shame on all of you for worrying about football when there are people starving in the world. Dicks.

Because the Georgia Dome and Charlotte are both definitely available this saturday and have nothing else going on, whatsoever

First the game doesnt have to be played Saturday, second the dome has a Georgia State game at 7 that night. They could easily accomodate an 11 am game.

Yes and I'm sure the people making the decisions to move the game form Columbia didn't even consider that idea.

Hearing that LSU will play SCAR in Baton Rouge in 2020 as well.

Tough.

They didnt, that would be way less convenient since both teams would have to travel. The game isnt relevant enough to warrent that.

If the tornado would have happened during football season, you bet your arse they would have lost home games.

We would of just moved it to Legion Field and UAB would of scheduled around us..

No, it couldn't. Let's say the game lasts 4 hours. That only leaves 4 hours to clear out all the fans, players, and media. Then you still have to clean up everything before the Georgia State fans, team, media, to come in. That's not nearly enough time.

you guys will get the revenue for this game. I dont really see what all the fuss is about. So in reality the program isnt going to lose any money and LSU fans are paying for it. This is the right decision.

It happens multiple times every year in every major college sport.

Just stop

Where do they have college football double headers? Much less on only 4 days notice. They certainly never happen in FBS.

And you can't compare a basketball double header to a double header involving 2 SEC football teams. There's no comparison.

When they said neutral sites are off, it is because they didnt want to host the damn game.

I mentioned this in the SC thread.

I don't mind that they moved the game, it just sucks that it gets moved to the away team's stadium and not a neutral location. Upstate mentioned that Charlotte wasn't possible because the Panthers are doing some field work. Not sure if Atl is playing at home or what.

And it has nothing to do with LSU personally, I wouldn't like having to play in anyone's away stadium for what was supposed to be a home game.

I still think it is better for USC financially. More fans show up equals more revenue for USC.

And to add insult to injury USCe doesn't get a return visit from LSU for at least a few years if at all. Rest assured before it's all over this will somehow be spun as a REC orchestrated move to hurt LSU...lol.

Absolutely. LSU was ranked #5 in the nation when they went to Arizona State instead of hosting the game in 2005.
