I'm one of the most vocal opponents to Little Rock football games. I grew up in Fayetteville and now live in Central Arkansas and refuse to go to them because I don't want to add to the false perception that they're desired. I drive to Fayetteville and enjoy the games on campus.

How did you come up with the idea that I was a fan of Little Rock games?

I don't even know where to start with this. You must not be from NWA and must not have gone to the University of Arkansas. That's a very sidewalk fan statement. It's ok to be from the state and not an alum yet still cheer for the Hogs.

Because he gets pissed that the team loses and takes it out on the fans so if you disagree with him on one point then you obviously disagree with him on everything in his mind.

I believed he called the whole fanbase fat Mountain Dew drinkers the other night and that was probably the most pleasant post he made.

I don't know how our fan base ever became full of people who will be unhappy unless we win the National Championship every couple of years. How have they watched the game at all for the past 50 years then?

There is a lot to enjoy about Razorback football, but it's not for the fickle or faint of heart.

This guy apparently doesn't have what it takes to be a Razorback fan. Perhaps it's time he takes a break from the board to decide if he'd rather be an Alabama, LSU, or Auburn fan.

Amen.

Here's my thing- whether you like Bert or not it doesn't matter. There is no rational thing that can be done at this point of the year/season about him. So strap in and enjoy the bumps over the next few months or get out of the car.

I tell you what, what would have to happen for you to change your mind?

a lack of progression and improvement.

to this point we have progressed from when Bielema took over. Toledo was a step backwards after many steps forward. how Bert steps after that step backwards determines if he's progressing or regressing. which again requires a wait and see mentality.

No it isn't technically my "business" but when you donate a fairly large chunk of your income to the program, that pays said coach, the question becomes fair IMO.

Are you being forced to donate? Does your boss get a say in how you run your household? Get a grip dude

I'm not sure how you twisted being extremely pissed at a coach for losing to Toledo into thinking we should win the national championship every year.

I'm perfectly fine with 7 or 8 win seasons most years with the occasional 10 win season and contention for the SEC... but losing to fricking Toledo? Maybe Bert will turn it around. But most coaches who lose to G5 teams past their first one or two years usually fail at their respective schools. That's just how it goes.

These posts are eerily reminiscent of the early Nutt downfall days.

Those that are downplaying this loss need to get a grip.

This was a HUGE blow to Burt's credibility. Especially after all the shite he has talked. Let's not even go down the road how all the #uncommon BS has basically landed us middle of the road in arrests and suspensions. Dudes are still being idiots, they just have higher GPAs. I'll take Ws over GPAs anyday, but that's because I'm an adult and realize the "student athlete" ended long long ago.

Let's revisit after our first few SEC losses. We're going into the Auburn game 0-2. Familiar territory for this team and staff.

The success of the University by no means hinges on the success of the football team. That was the point.

We've been relatively shitty minus a few outlier years since Holtz and the University has done fine.

And if by "sidewalk fan" you mean my name is etched twice on the hill. Yeah you're right. But not here to measure fandom dick size.

Just here to state my opinion. You can play the "rational" card all you want and say "theres nothing you can do but move forward", well I can play the exact opposite and say there's no getting around the fact of how shitty this loss was. How quickly we're the joke of the SEC once again.

For not believing in the BS facade that is "student athlete".

Brett recruits #uncommon players yet the discipline issues seem no different than the last few coaches.

It's all just marketing BS, and of course for us it doesn't pay off.

Did you think we were actually running a tight ship with Petrino and that we weren't playing with devils money with him? I bet you were.

The whole sport is super corrupt, trying to play nice and moral is futile.

no, i didn't- it was obvious from the onslaught of arrests during his tenure.

it's COLLEGE football- i'm for cleaning it up and it being what it was intended to be- although that will probably never happen.

if people want differently then it needs to be disassociated with universities.

Not arguing with you there man. Not at all.

But it is what it is.

If shite continues like it has, I can honestly see myself going my dad's route and just not really giving a shite in the future. Spending fall Saturday's working in the yard and doing other shite. The early 90s destroyed his fandom.

Maybe I'm just looking at it all wrong, or I'm too competitive, but I want a winner. Otherwise I don't see a point.

Hahaha that's exactly what my dad did this Sat. He worked in the yard. Said he checked on the score once before halftime and just went right back out to the yard.
