every loss is bad obviously

but every loss could be explained away because of rebuilding

the loss to toledo defies reason and ranks much lower on the bad loss scale imo. which gives me reason to believe it's an outlier in the data

Everyone said he was shite at winning big games... we saw that last year. I was fine with the close losses in year 2. Still rebuilding and all that.

But they also said he would blow the doors off every inferior team he went against... thought that was true after last year. But now we don't even have that. What the frick does he have to offer other than vague terms like "development" and "off the field image". Was it development that he managed to turn a tough OL that imposed their will last year into a soft, weak group that gets dominated by a MAC team? And about off the field image... don't know if y'all have noticed, but we're a laughing stock right now. And deservedly so. But hey, I guess we do things "the right way", whatever the frick that means.

I could at least throw A&M into that category. We melted in that game too.

We're going to need a monumental turnaround for him not to take huge heat. And the chances of that seem pretty damn unlikely with our schedule.

But I agree, he deserves the chance. Just really wish it wouldn't have come to this.

This is the thing that confuses me about the Toledo loss. When he was at UW he beat those types of teams by 50 pretty much every time. Surely we have more talent than they were able to get at Wisconsin. Is it the coaching staff? Him not winning in the SEC is one thing but I can't explain a loss like that.

The coaching staff had so many holding penalties

It's on the coaches to instill discipline and reduce penalties...

This is a veteran team that was one of the best in the SEC last season in regards to penalties...I'm sure it's covered

When you going to put this on the players? Oh, yeah, Brandon Allen...I forgot.

Because I will never blame the players unless:

A) The majority of players weren't recruited by the current HC
B) They do something so monumentally stupid that no amount of coaching would've stopped them from doing it

Neither were true on Saturday... it was the coaches' fault.

As was already stated, the loss to Toledo is an outlier. More data is needed before most if not all of what you posted is answered.

Which requires patience.
