what a freaking bizarre thing to take issue with.
He always talks about being such a family and what not, yet he doesn't have one?
It's weird to me. That's all I'm saying. Totally their choice, but to ME, it's odd.
you cannot sit here and tell me their relationship isn't a little strange. Yea, he's rich but cmon, she could marry a shite ton of well off guys closer to her age etc that don't weigh 400lbs.
It's an odd relationship, a lot of people ive talked to think so too..

I've got no other choice but I've never really liked him all that much. His obesity bothers me, the fact that he married a Vegas drink chick bothers me and the fact that he doesn't have kids bothers me. It's just weird. Like they're swingers or something.
Thought he has been a blow hard and seems to have a similar attributes to Nutt. The one difference being he says all the right things.
He's done a shite TON of losing here and for some reason everyone takes it straight in the chin from him.
The Toledo loss really has me on the fence. That was really, really, really bad coaching.
I know its one game, but he's lost a lot of damn games since being here.
I'm on the bandwagon, one loss isn't going to change that for me.
I can see why someone wouldn't like Bielema for the losses we have had or his bravado, no reason to argue with an opinion.
However, the bold part above is a legitimately borderline insane reason to not like anybody, let alone a football coach you don't know personally.

i've learned throughout the years that 99% of relationships are odd in their own way- even if they seem normal to others, they just hide it better.
i don't want to derail (hmm, what's the wagon version of that?) this thread anymore so that's all i'm saying.

It's almost like he and his wife aren't capable. Psh. As if medical science hasn't fixed EVERYTHING yet, let's go on judging.

Obese coaches bother me too....because it reeks of hypocrisy.
Here you are some over-weight pig waddling around the practice field (or in Charlie Weiss's case, riding a motorized cart)......and you're barking orders about pushing yourself, and discipline, and sacrifice, and hard work, and reaching deep to finish every drill, etc....
But, you yourself don't even have the discipline and self-control to keep yourself from eating the entire pizza.

The last THREE coaches at Arkansas had issues in their personal lives. Two of which DIRECTLY effected the program.
My bad for being a little cautious.
No it isn't technically my "business" but when you donate a fairly large chunk of your income to the program, that pays said coach, the question becomes fair IMO.
Not saying he is about to do something like Petrino or Nutt but you can't fault me for being skeptical.
Regardless the massive amount of losing irks me the most. I realize out team was totally crap, but not being able to irk out more then 2 sec wins in 2 seasons is bad.
And the close losses last season were also super frustrating.

You delivered it a lot better than I did.
I'm not trying to "judge" him. I realize that's what it looks like, but the whole situation is just strange to me.
Denying that is well, typical of most hog fans. Which I am not.

True enough.
I know I was a little off the road with that post, probably over stepped but his weight really is a concern for me. If only for his health.
I'm just sick of dealing with this shite. Fool me once, Fool me twice... It's never ending with our program.
And I know, I know its just a game, but its extra cruel for us and there is no denying that.

I'm on, but it's quite clear that we are not in shape. That's Bert's fault. It seemed like every few plays we had a player down. Could that be the result of no two a days during camp?
Anyway, I'm not sure how that can be changed in a weeks time.

maybe, but I doubt it
think it had more to do with not playing full speed and hesitant. perhaps the turf at war memorial can share some blame as well

I'm on, though my confidence in him has been shaken. I'll be on board through at least year four no matter what.
