1. No. Postseason polls are not a sign of respect. They are a measure of accomplishment. 2. Then why aren't they getting any now? 3. No, it's a sign of their recent accomplishments. If they had earned" respect then why has everyone left them for dead after one 7-5 season?
1. Tomayto / tomahto. Respect is largely based upon accomplishment.
2. They didnt look good last year, don't return a qb, and don't have star power.
3. Respect can be given or taken away. It's not permanent.

That whole discussion went way over your head.
How so? It's a simple either a) "they do matter" or b) "they don't matter". Pick one.

I think Mizzou fans actually feel not as confident this year either.
I thought or team was shite last year. It was a rebuilding year. Our offense will be better this year if Mauk improves in his second season as a starter. We thought the d line would drop off last year but we just keep reloading, and our lbs and dbs will be crazy good.
Not predicting another east championship, but a better team.

What a breath of fresh air.
Mizzou had good reason to expect strong play from their de's going into last year. It's a bigger question mark this year.
Yall have lots of room to improve that pass game, but big improvement is not guaranteed.

Why? Because he said our team was shite? Lol, is that what you were waiting for?
We weren't shite. Obviously. We won 11 games, but we clearly were not as strong as the year before. We had a good defense, running game and special teams. We had all of that the year prior with a pretty dynamic passing game.
I've stated many times I don't think we will win the East this year, but it's certainly not out of the question. I think our defense will be good again. We are particularly good in the back 7. Bunch of NFL talent and deep. Our DL has taken some big hits, but we also have the best DL coach in the nation so I think we'll be fine there. Experienced OL and a really underrated back in Hansbrough. My biggest concerns would be an inconsistent QB with all new WR, and losing Murphy is a bigger blow than anyone thinks. He was a very dynamic player on offense and ST.
The passing game could very well struggle again, and if we don't get production out of our DL then that could minimize the effect of our teams biggest strength.

No, but I am still waiting for a closure to our ongoing discussion about the impact of wins on a teams rankings.

This is a breath of fresh air as well. Those final 8 words perfectly explain what happened to our offense in 2013. It went from elite to average without our playmakers, which were our strength. It's reasonable to say that miZZOU was very fortunate to face that much lesser team, isn't it?

Your 2010 team was terrible. There is no comparison between the two Mizzou division winning teams and your 2010 team.
Ehh... If you wanna throw 2011 UGA in there I think you can compare them by how competitive they were in the SECCG.

How can we compare these teams?

Let's see your list of starting OL and their missed 2013 starts. Just to make sure you aren't exaggerating things.
Yeah 2012: there was point (2nd or 3rd week) we were down to 1 RSFR, 1 true FR and 2 walk-ons as out starting OL PLUS we were down to 1 experienced RB AND our QB missed about half the season.

Yes there is, your 2014 team was terrible.

Terrible? You're a fricking idiot.

Just call em like I see them. Didn't beat one team worth a shite, lost to a 4 win big 10 team, and got shutout by Georgia at home 34-0. Sounds like a shite team to me...

Mizzou 2014 had the worst east champ offense ever seen.

They beat zero ranked teams last year. Zero.
The program deserves respect for winning the East, but that doesn't mean they were a good team last year. Beat the two worst teams in the west (one had a QB injury), and then got demolished by the two best teams they faced. You're 2013 team was really good, but I think your 2014 team competes for the worst East Champ ever with 2010 SC.

Yes, but also lost to two unranked teams. As for the 4 you beat...we've already established Mizzou isn't any good, Clemson didn't beat anyone all year so they aren't either, same for Louisville and Auburn finished with the most losses of any ranked team.
What matters is this:
1. pollsters considered Each of those 4 teams to be top 25 teams, and beating the crap out of them earned uga well deserved respect despite those 2 losses.
2. Mizzou had zero wins of that nature, and had by far the worst loss to Indiana so respect was withheld due to that.
Surely this makes sense to you at this point?

One of the worst offenses we've ever fielded in the Pinkel era.

Was it a talent issue or an oc issue?
