Injuries only matter for Georgia.
Never mind we had our entire 2 deep on the OL miss multiple games AND lost out QB for the majority of the season. I mean, they had a couple WR/RB out. No way to overcome something like that. Of course we can't mention that one of their thugs hit Franklin well after the whistle and put him out of the game. Shhh...

Let's see your list of starting OL and their missed 2013 starts. Just to make sure you aren't exaggerating things.

2012 brah not 2013, if I remember correctly the 2 deep on the O-Line had 7 guys go down that year at various times, worse part was that 3 were preseason, so yes that 2012 UGA beat a banged up Mizzou team...BUT no excuses Jarvis Jones raped in the 4th Qtr and the Dawgs deserved the win. Just like Mizzou deserved the win at Athens in 2013.

All BS aside- my honest (not snarky response to ridiculous comments (imo)from Mizzou folks) assessment of Mizzou football:
When Mizzou came in, most thought (and I would include most Mizzou fans) that they wouldn't fare well in the SEC. That was proven false.
Mizzou has very good coaching, obviously they have incredible scouting and really develop talent well. They play above their weight on a consistent basis. Something UGA does not do.
Was their timing good with UF and UT being down- absolutely. Was their schedule favorable avoiding Bama, AU and LSU- sure.
But the bottom line is you have to win the East to win the SEC. No matter how favorable the schedule may be you simply can't win a division in the SEC if you suck. Mizzou had 3 "must win" games vs. pretty good teams and won them all. UGA didn't.
Mizzou has proven to be a solid, stable, above average program. But UF and UT will rival UGA in the talent dept soon. And the big guns from the West will cycle through. I honestly don't think Mizzou will compete if they themselves don't improve vs. elite programs. I think the last two years support that argument.
I really wish they would get their heads out of their arse and help us in basketball....

Mizzou is doing very damn good with the talent they have. Recruiting classes getting better since joining SEC. Imagine what Mizzou will be like once they start getting Top 15 classes.
When was the last time a SEC team competed in the Championship game that have recruiting classes that avg 30-35.
Most SEC schools that been to the title game have top 15 classes. Everybody talk about how weak Mizzou's schedule is, but they don't add in the fact that Mizzou also have weaker recruiting classes. Not like they get Top 10 classes and playing a weaker schedule, playing against inferior talent.

Yeah I did. If you seriously think leading 42-0 had a lot to do with your "offense", then I can't help you.

We're just trying to explain why you're ranked third in the East in the preseason and I think it's pretty understandable.
Seems pretty respectable to me. We aren't in the bottom half. I could care less where we start ranking wise. All I care about is where we finish.

It was 5 of our 6 best playmakers.
1st and 2nd string rb's and our 3 best wide receivers.
But yea, it was just a couple wr/rb...

The difference is We don't know how good your o would have been healthy, but Would Jarvis jones had raped your starting ot like that? The injury combineD with the others Gave us a huge advantage that likely impacted the outcome.

Georgia has depth issues every year. It isn't surprising that injuries hurt them more than most.

What a gross misrepresentation of The situation. Yea, it was only a guy named todd gurley, his speedster backup, and the other side of an explosive passing game.

A win is a win. Let's not go there. I get that.
Which would be more satisfying if you were honest with yourself?
I'm not even being remotely dishonest, I know beating the Vols and Fl hasn't been that great an accomplishment lately.
We squeaked out a win over a worse Vols team a few years ago and barely beat USC, the fact is UGA had NO EXCUSE to not win those games, yet they still didn't.
What are we supposed to do? Lose on purpose so that a more traditional SEC East team can look good?
Since we're being all honest up in here, why do you think you're going to be better this season but the other teams in the East won't?

Did you miss our wins over mizzou and ark last year? We were down to our 4th string rb, and our #1 wr never really got going due to an injury.

I will be really really shocked if we win it again this year.

What narrative?
Yall want to put us in our place then it shouldn't be too difficult. FL and TN needed to stop sucking and GA needs to stop losing to crappy teams and win the games they need to win. Kind of like we do.

The narratives you specifically have used include 1) big injuries being irrelevant to the outcome of games and 2) big wins being irrelevant to respect in the rankings. Both are ideas.

1. That whole discussion went way over your head.
2. I disagree, and have already stated why several times.

SC suffers from the same knock for our 2010 SECe winning and SECCG appearance.
Your 2010 team was terrible. There is no comparison between the two Mizzou division winning teams and your 2010 team.

I dont think there is a more butt hurt poster when it comes to Mizzou than you. Gradual_stroke and lobotomy come close though.
