He's the #56 player overall in next year's class and the #1 player out of Mississippi.

I should add that he averaged over 31 (!!!) yards per reception last year. Over half his receptions were for touchdowns. He has said that his plan is to leave the state of Mississippi several times. His film is some of the best WR film I've seen in a while.

I hope he becomes really good friends with Cam Akers from Clinton and they both come to Alabama.

It would certainly make up for all the times we've been Landmass'd.

And he will likely flip before his senior season.

We've heard it before. I believe it when I see it.

From who? We signed one from MS last year, have one committed, and one who WAS committed at one time who very well might flip back to us.

Have you followed Alabama's recruitment of the state of Mississippi the last 5-6 years? Like at all?

I'm talking about who have we heard it all before from? When has a recruit made a statement so emphatically like that? I don't think there are many who follow recruiting more closely than I do.

Benito Jones told anyone that would listen that he grew up an Alabama fan with plenty of Alabama fans in his family. He flipped after a week to Ole Miss. I would like to think that Bowie is different, but you only let yourself get burned so many times.

FWIW, I'd put our chances of signing Benito at about 50 percent right now. I understand the skepticism, but believe things are about to change back to the way they were a few years ago again. We're in pretty good shape for Jeffrey Simmons too, who is currently blowing up. Now if only Cam Akers and Nigel Knott....

And anyone that has this Bowie kid rated higher than Akers & White are slap arse crazy. Especially Akers, the kid is amazing (for clarification I follow MS HS football religiously and had never heard of Bowie before today but then again he isn't coming out of a top tier program that plays top level competition)

Akers is good. But have you even seen Bowie's video? He's a beast.

Yes I watched his HUDL tonight and even though it is obvious he is the best athlete on the field I was was not terribly impressed with it other than he high points the ball fantastically. To say his route running was poor would be an understatement and it didn't show any of the other attributes that make WRs special (ie. Blocking) He may be better suited to defense and kick returns but once again the film really didn't show if he was willing to come downhill, take on blockers and help clean up a RB. So to sum it up, I have seen other kids play against much stiffer competiton in MS and look a Helluva lot better. Now he does play for a good up & coming coach but he is playing 3A ball whereas Akers is playing 6A in arguably the toughest region in the State. I would definitely take the kid as a projected starter Jr. year but would really toot the horn if Akers committed. He has the potential to be something special if he keeps his head on straight.

I'm telling you man, don't get excited about this. The kid is going to end up at Ole Miss.

Also, LOL at Simmons and Akers going to Alabama. You also have a very small chance at Knot.

Listen to Capstone and others, or it will not end well for you.
