Chubb is? Since we can compare backs on different teams lets compare Fournette and Chubb to Samaje Perine.

A) This post is even more nonsensical than usual for this thread. We're talking SEC backs.
B) Yes, Chubb is the best in the league.
C) Yes, Chubb is better than Perine.

And I feel that Mason was the best QB in america last year.

"Starting" as in creating new threads like "look how good LF is"? No, you're right that that isn't the case.

But in every thread about the RB postition heading into 2015, you're blind if you don't see at least a handful of lsu fans in all of those saying he's the best.

Why don't you post their stats against teams both played rather then top 5 rushing games. Anyone could have ran on UL.

Prior to the bowl game, UL was 2nd in the nation in rush defense, if I recall correctly.

Your dedication to the facts fits right in with 75% of the LSU posters in this thread through. Congrats.

First of all, we're comparing 2 players at the same position in the same league with several common opponents who are both the same class. Don't act like I'm comparing him to red grange.

Second, based on your sterling logic, it is literally impossible to compare any 2 football players other than ones that are on the same team at the same position. I guess it's not possible to compare tom brady to matt ryan, or marshawn lynch to lamar miller. I mean, they're on different teams right? Guess it can't be done.

He said league, not conference. The "league" is division 1 football.

But but but but the stats!!!!!!

Sure. I also see just as many saying LF is mediocre.

A: I don't care
B: I won't start a thread about it
C: I won't post in a thread about it.

See how that works? It's your opinion which is what a message board is about.

UF, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky?

I'm not saying you can't compare, I'm saying its not an exact science and stats don't always tell the whole story, though I do believe Chubb was better as a freshman than Fournette. Since everything is just plug and play, Would Chubb have had better stats than LF if they swapped teams? We don't know.

They finished 10th nationally in rush defense, and tha'ts including the beatdown we put on them. Even taking our game into account, they averaged giving up 108 yards a game. We ran for 292.

quote:

post their stats against teams both played

Auburn
LF- 10 for 42 (4.2 per), 0 TDs
NC- 19 for 144 (7.6 per), 2 TDs

Florida
LF- 27 for 140 (5.2 per), 2 TDs
NC- 21 for 156 (7.4 per), 1 TD

Arkansas
LF- 5 for 9 (1.8 per), 0 TDs
NC- 30 for 202 (6.7 per), 2 TDs

Kentucky
LF- 15 for 40 (2.7 per), 1 TD
NC- 13 for 170 (13.1 per), 1 TD

Average between 4 common opponents:

LF- 57 for 231 (4.1), 3 TDs
NC- 83 for 672 (8.1), 6 TDs

Also of note, LF didn't record a catch in any of those 4 games, while Chubb combined for 8 catches for 115 yards and another touchdown.

Any other brain busters?

So why give end of the season awards since these games aren't played in a vacuum.

Jesus.

This is more an indictment of Cam and Miles than LF. He's actually a very good receiver for a RB, but they rarely ever threw to him. It's frustrating as hell.

I know exactly why they didn't throw to him, it starts with "A" and ends with "nthony Jennings"

You seem to be rational so I'm just busting your chops, but it's funny that everything that would point to NC being better is simply the fault of the coaches not using him more.

Hell, our 4th string back could be as good a RB as LF but those damn coaches won't give him the carries

did he say that?

He was simply pointing out how utterly stupid it is to suggest that you can't compare 2 players that aren't on the same team. I mean that is so stupid it's almost laughable.
