anybody else feel like ESPN is putting their hand in the cookie jar here. i mean if it wasn't for the likes of the ESPN's of the world pouring millions into more college football coverage and in turn making winning that much more important we wouldnt see coaches taking chances on kids like this. College football is a business, just like the NFL. i dont blame saban and any other school in that case for trying to win at all costs. ESPN needs to just shut the frick up because they rely heavily on teams such as Alabama to put the best product on the field. all they are is hypocrites.

BAMA fans are hilarious, they worry about other schools misdemeanors and cleared cases, yet defend this Thug.

This may be a knife to a gunfight as I typically don't keep up with former Auburn players but...

Unfortunately, it's what you get when the dollar becomes involved.

Okay Sally.
Looks like you're combining my thoughts with someone else's?
That's the only way to confuse my sentiment with someone that is complaining about their arrests since I never said that.
Don't worry. You are doing what 90% of the other kids that lack a high school education do: respond about I've said two thing when I only said one (Also spare us the blurb about how smart you are. We know already, now).
Dude, your fan base is the most embarrassing this side of Morgantown WV. You are a posterchild for it, obviously.

DV wasn't the en vogue thing at that time.

I will post this at the beginning of my post and at the end to make sure its not missed: I'm not blaming the female in this event!
Now, I'm basing this on the assumption that the female and Taylor were in some sort of a relationship here. And we all know what you do when you assume, but anyway.....
Was this young lady (assuming they were in some sort of relationship) not also giving the guy a 2nd or 3rd chance? What was her motivation for (assuming) dating a guy with this history who happened to be really good at football?
I agree with everything said that Saban blew it by taking a chance on this guy with his program, but any female that is with this dude is taking a chance with their life. I see that as a much bigger mistake.
Again: I'm not saying the girl did anything to deserve this. Just posting a new different way to look at who all got played by this guy for whatever their motives were.

Will not take the time but some of the BAMA folks comparing DV to misdemeanor smaller crimes committed at other schools. IMHO, That is defending him, however deflection would also be accurate.
Everyone knew he embarassed Saban and must go.

I think the point here is the line needs to be drawn at players who are a danger to the community which is clearly present here.
University of Alabama, the AD, and Nick Saban clearly did not care for the safety of students and the community, but were focused solely on football...
The line should be drawn with the safety of the community. Pretty simple.

There weren't even rumors or questions in the public beforehand.

And how many drug tests did he admit to failing after "nobody saw it coming"? That would be alarming to me.

the offer wasn't committable, or he'd be at LSU.
LSU wouldn't take him until the past legal issues were behind him.
His GF at the time was an LSU student, so I guess this is another woman he was beating up in Tuscaloosa

Here is an attempt to defend and give excuses. Blame the victim. The disclaimers in his post do not change the intent.

I think this sounded good in your head but you didn't think this one through.
By definition, domestic violence is not public violence. There are all sorts of reasons that it is serious and needs to be addressed, but the one area that it is NOT is the danger to the community. A guy getting in a bar fight is more of a danger to the community. Someone guilty of domestic violence is a danger not to the community but to the people living with him. SERIOUS danger in some cases, and definitely a serious crime...but the "danger to the community" angle is pretty weak.

False. If LSU offered he would have been at LSU. We did not offer because of his felony charge.
