The data shows that none of the most segregated cities are in the South. That means something.

Whether it's LA, Chicago, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo, St. Louis or Newark, the most segregated cities are almost all North of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Apparently, a 4* football recruit decommitted over this.

i heard that. i mean i hate OU as much as anybody, but it seems drastic. The university disbanded the frat and the president came out decisively against the frat and condemned them. if anything, that would embolden me, knowing the University didn't take it lightly. he's a fool if he thinks he's going to escape any form of racism by going anywhere else. every school has its assholes.

My mother works in public relations for the school district of this kid. She had to put him in contact with a local news reporter. She texted me last night and said it was because "he hated how he had to find out on social media and the coaches didn't tell him first".

I'll be honest, I think it's more likely he was looking for a reason to decommit. Given that A&M had recently offered as well as a few other schools.

No you don't.

Racists don't bowl. The thought of those large black balls hitting those pristine white pins just makes them sick.

Not sure if this is true. Don't doubt it. Just don't know.

What is certainly true is that after the Civil War a lot of freed slaves started migrating to the great white north thinking they'd find a promised land. What they found were a lot of great white northerners who were like, "Uh. We didn't think you ought to have to be slaves, but we certainly don't think we ought to have to live with you."

It's true.

Not one of the top 10 segregated cities over 500k in pop is in the South.

Actually, southern states attract the most domestic migrants of any U.S. region, so your theory that people are fleeing is slightly wrong.

quote:

Last year, the south boasted six of the top eight states in terms of net domestic migration — Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia. Texas and Florida alone gained 250,000 net migrants. The top four losers were deep blue New York, Illinois, New Jersey and California.

But hey, continue to talk out of your arse with made-up facts and blanket assumptions.

Haven't really chimed in over this, but I just happened to frick up and watch CNN for a few minutes. This woman said the "nation is reeling" over this video. LOLwut?

So there are some racist SAEs. Yeah, its bad form, and yeah they should be shamed for that song, etc. But is the "nation reeling"? I'm not feeling it. Of course I avoid mainstream just about everything.

Is CNN et al overblowing this like everything else, in order to drive "outrage" viewership?

You know what power is? Being unable to be offended by someone else's words. Gaining benefits in a society because of a word or words is that of the weak and small. It's an undeniable fact.
