He is/was.
Boise has been playing up the Hogs passing over him offering other RB's angle. Even as much to lie about it saying we've offered 27 RB's in this tweet from their rivals account which Crockett favorited.

Boise State used to be a community college so math is probably not their strong point.

Gotta say when we whiff on White, Whaley and Pennamon and offer Crockett only for him to turn us down, I'll be fricking pissed.

On the other hand, it would be hilarious to flip him.

Why? Crockett is an average back. His only SEC offer is Vandy.
Look at his film. He runs out of a spread and does not fit our system. Just because Otis pulled off getting another kid a fourth star in this state doesn't mean he is that damn good.
We are only taking 20 kids this class.

We really screwed ourselves not doing better at RB the last two classes. Nationally RB is down for the 2016 cycle and of course we are in need of them to play ASAP next year (though the Kody Walker news is ).
2014 was good nation-wide while 2015 was loaded and all we were able to do was flip Rawleigh after OM got a higher touted prospect.
After getting Alex (big fish) and Denzel (no PT) in 2013
we've gone Day - 2014 - had no offers after tearing ACL Jr. season - has torn the other knee now and Rawleigh - 2015

Because we aren't on the radar of anyone better than him except those 3, and we aren't getting them.

And 2 of those 20 need to be RBs.

Collins aside, our RB recruiting has been oddly down, and it's the lone thing about Bert's tenure thus far that has me scratching my head. I just don't understand why backs wouldn't be lining up to play in this offense, especially with his track record at Wisconsin.
It's just odd to me that 2 of our top 3 backs are Petrino recruits.

We don't know if we are on anyone better or not. Obviously we are, or they would have offered.
The kid is showing offers from Boise, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, ULM, La Tech, Memphis, Army, Colorado State, etc. it's not just our staff that doesn't think he is an SEC back right now.
There are two positions I have 100% faith in Bert recruiting. That's Oline and RBs. I'll probably rarely, if ever question his offers at those two spots.

Bert has brought in four quality back IMO.
Walker getting another year was certainly a blessing. It's also my belief that Collins will be back for his senior season.
So next year is shaping up with Collins, Walker, Williams III, Day(if he rebounds).

until we fail to produce a 1000 yard rusher consider me not worried. with our oline it's damn near automatic whoever we hand the ball to.
has bert ever not produced a 1000 yard rusher as a head coach?

You can't use this excuse and then say Juan Day is a quality back when he had literally zero other offers.

Again, I said I'll never question Berts RB recruiting. His track record with Oline and RBs speaks for itself.
So yes, I can use that reasoning when Bert offered one and didn't offer the other.
I also am not sure how legit his Vandy offer is that is reported. Choosing Boise over an SEC program that would also deliver a top education is quite head scratching.
Just because a kid is from Arkansas doesn't mean he should get an offer. Maybe if Houston Nutt were still our coach...

Negative. His 1,000 rushers are below:
2006: P.J. Hill (1,569)
2007: P.J. Hill (1,212)
2008: P.J. Hill (1,161)
2009: John Clay (1,517)
2010: John Clay (1,012), James White (1,052)
2011: Montee Ball (1,923)
2012: Montee Ball (1,830)
2013: Alex Collins (1,026)
2014: Alex Collins (1,100), Jonathan Williams (1,190)

Yea. I think Wisconsin has the longest streak of 1,000 yard rushers in NCAA history.
They've had one every year since 2005 I believe

eta: I'm not one bit worried with our RB situation. I do think BB tends to try to keep his word on playing time so if he tells a kid you will start day 1 (Alex Collins) he will go by it, but for the most part I think he likes to give upperclassmen every opportunity in the world to get playing time.

Arkansas power forward signee Ted Kapita of Huntington Prep in West Virginia is still waiting on the NCAA Eligibility Center to clear him academically.
Kapita, who ESPN ranks the No, 71 prospect in the nation for the 2015 class, is a native of Kinshasa, Congo. He moved the United States in 2011 and played at Florida Air Academy in Melbourne as a junior before enrolling at Huntington Prep.
Getting the necessary paperwork from his homeland has slowed the process.
That makes it sound more like he will qualify, but just a timing issue/delay with his paperwork from Congo. Hmmmm.

In the Congo delays mean someone wants a bribe.
