Head to Destin, Florida...

Please no. We have plenty of Yankees invading as it is. Actually, on second thought, we should try to contain them in Destin and keep the good spots "secret" for as long as possible.

Destin is great. Go there.

Nah, make them to Milton or Bagdad.

Maybe Crestview.

I said start in Destin and go east. The good spots are in between... You know it and I know it.

I live in Springfield, so I'm well acquainted with Branson. I'm not a golfer but Top of the Rock/ Big Cedar Lodge is really nice.

Keeping it w/in 20 min or so of College Station ....

Brenham, TX

Bluebonnet Wine Trail

Bryan, TX - Messina Hof Winery

Round Top TX (Royers Cafe)

Lake Conroe

Washington County/Washington-on-the-Brazos - Birthplace of Texas

But if we're opening up the conversation to the entire state?
Oh boy.
That's a different thread.

No. I would prefer more yankees down on 30A since I spend a lot of time there.

I went to the Mizzou game in Knoxville this year and had a great experience. Probably the friendliest people of any city I have been to. I wanted to visit Sevierville and other cities out that way, (and on to Asheville) but didn't have the time!

You son of a bish.

You'd rather Yankees than LSU/Bama fans...wait, that's a tough choice actually.

Try Blowing Rock, NC. Not exactly SEC but close enough.

It's beautiful there for sure. It's also on the good side of the smokies.

The view from Canyons Restaurant on 321, and the adjacent houses, is mind-blowing. Absolutely gorgeous.

Banner Elk and Boone are pretty fricking rad, too.

I live in Black Mountain, outside of Asheville. Eclectic, artsy town with a decent bit to do for a town of its size.

ETA: I'll toss in Linville, too. Not much going on, but Linville Gorge is a must see.
